He's connected with that one, though! Wow.

Archer's bowling those balls which he runs his fingers down a lot, trying to get his leg cutter going. Sharma didn't by any means get all of that.
Target 420
Four more! It's fortunate for India though as Rohit Sharma cloths a pull shot but it loops over mid-wicket and away to the fence.
He was through that shot far too early.
Target 420
Rohit Sharma gets off the mark with a push, off the back foot, into the covers.

Shubman Gill is one of those batsmen who doesn't look like he hits the ball, he just sort of glides it on to the ball. He just lets the ball come and timing doesn't look an effort.
Target 420
The second slip/gully, under the helmet, has already been moved in front of the batsman's eyeline.
England have just got to patient and not chase this game.
Target 420
Too full and leggy from Jack Leach and Shubman Gill just helps it to the fine leg boundary.

Target 420
Shubman Gill is a serious timer of a cricket ball. Wow!
He goes back and just pushes Jack Leach through mid-wicket and it absolutely races to the fence.
Sublime.

Stuart Broad would be ideal in this situation. It feels like he would be perfect, bowling into that uneven bounce.
Target 420
Back-to-back maidens to start from Jofra Archer.
There is bounce there for him, but Rohit Sharma does well to ride it. That seemed to go to Rohit quite slowly as well, as if it stuck in the pitch a bit.
That is going to be very tough for India. There are more than enough demons in this pitch for England to create the opportunities to win.

Can India survive? I think the runs are out of the equation, surely, on a pitch that's turning, bouncing, the odd one keeping low, and it's reversing. There's not much more a pitch could deliver, really. It's about mental toughness.
Target 420
Joe Root has given Jack Leach two slips and a short leg. Is that enough or a bit defensive? Leach is at least landing it in a consistent area, which on this pitch should bring rewards.
He drops too short to end the over and Shubman Gill whips him to the mid-wicket fence. I love that Gill doesn't have a batting sponsor. He's a serious talent so I can't imagine he'll be waiting too long for one.
It's going to be Jack Leach from the other end.
This is a good decision from Joe Root I would say.
It's not cricket, but it's certainly one for India sports fans: the shortlist for the BBC Indian Sportswoman award has been announced in Delhi.
The accolade honours the contributions of Indian sportswomen and celebrates the achievements of women in sport in the country.
The list of five contenders for 2021 features shooter Manu Bhaker, sprinter Dutee Chand, chess player Koneru Humpy, wrestler Vinesh Phogat and hockey captain Rani.
You can vote for your Indian Sportswoman of the year here.
Target 420
A maiden to start from Jofra Archer.
There was plenty of carry there but no alarms of any kind for Rohit Sharma.
Jofra Archer is going to bowl the first over.
Right, time for a non-official vote.
Thumbs up if you think England will win.
Thumbs down if you think it'll be a draw/India win.
It will be interesting to see who Joe Root turns to with the ball first up.
Does he go with James Anderson and Jofra Archer? Or does he go with one of the spinners having seen the spin and bounce India's spinners got with the new ball?
England would love at least one breakthrough tonight, but ideally two.
Can they them get? I want to see Jofra Archer absolutely tearing in.
