    Somerset 312 v Gloucestershire 274-8

That's the big wicket for Somerset.

James Bracey's superb 118-run knock comes to an end, snaffled by Lewis Gregory.

He struck 15 fours and one six and is the major reason Gloucestershire have hauled themselves near Somerset's first-innings total of 312.

    Lancashire 305 & 32-0 v Northamptonshire 23-1

    Glamorgan 285 v Sussex 478-9

Fine block from number 11 Henry Crocombe.

Lloyd had taken the wickets of Stuart Meaker (6) and Jack Carson (0).

For those late joining, we've had four different hat-trick chances today, with Mohammed Abbas taking one earlier for Hampshire.

    Glamorgan 285 v Sussex 478-9

    Not another hat-trick chance!

Back-to-back wickets for David Lloyd. Here we go again.

  6. Postpublished at 18:14 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Kent 252-9 v Yorkshire 379

Kent have added a second batting bonus point, crossing 250.

We're hearing a rumour that Harry Podmore is injured and may not bat. He's scheduled to come in at 11, but he'd usually enter higher.

This could be Kent's final partnership.

  7. Postpublished at 18:11 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Hampshire 319 & 133-2 v Middlesex 79

Hampshire continue to make ready good progress at Southampton, with Ian Holland now 59 not out and Sam Northeast still unbeaten on 69.

Their lead over Middlesex is 373.

Adam Wheater is the latest to go for Essex, off the bowling of Scott Borthwick.

Five overs left in the day.

That's Ollie Pope's half-century - and in decent time too, coming off 71 deliveries and including seven fours.

Good stuff from the England middle-order player.

  12. new ball

New ballpublished at 17:59 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Kent 245-7 v Yorkshire 379

No surprises as Yorkshire take the new ball after 80 overs.

Kent are still 134 runs behind with Grant Stewart (39 not out) Matthew Milnes (20 not out) set in the middle.

David Willey returns to the attack.

  13. Postpublished at 17:54 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Essex 96 & 164-5 v Durham 259

How about that for some good reactions?!

Durham captain Scott Borthwick stretches to his right to intercept a Ryan ten Doeschate drive destined for the boundary.

That's caught and bowled and Borthwick has a deserved wicket.

Add that to his century with the bat and I'd say he's having a pretty good game.

Essex lead Durham by just one run. They need their tail to wag.

  14. Postpublished at 17:50 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Surrey 170-3 v Leicestershire 375

Surrey still have plenty of work to do but this has been a really important partnership by Ollie Pope and Ben Foakes, who came to the middle at 93-3.

Pope is four away from a half-century, while his England team-mate Foakes is 33 not out.

  15. wicket

Heartbreak, his innings comes to close after 117 balls, 13 fours and one six.

Stuart Meaker heads to the crease with Sussex's lead at 179.

  16. 50 runs

50 for Robinsonpublished at 17:43 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Glamorgan 285 v Sussex 460-6

And there's also a 50 for Sussex's vice captain Ollie Robinson.

That's his second in as many games.

His partner George Garton is into the nervous 90s.

  17. 50 runs

50 for Wesselspublished at 17:40 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Derbyshire 390 v Worcestershire 207-5

A lovely attacking 50 for Worcestershire's Riki Wessels who reaches his half-century in just 77 balls.

His partnership with Ben Cox (19 not out) has now ticked past 70 runs. Frustration for Derbyshire but they're still in control.

    Somerset 312 v Gloucestershire 240-7

    James BraceyImage source, Getty Images

This has been a really fine knock from James Bracey, who brings up his century from 208 balls.

His innings, which has included 14 fours and one six, has been absolutely vital to Gloucestershire's chances.

They still trail Somerset by 72 runs with three wickets remaining.

  19. Postpublished at 17:38 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Nottinghamshire 273 & 55-2 v Warwickshire 201-9

A few balls after reaching the 50 partnership with Haseeb Hameed, Ben Duckett falls lbw to Will Rhodes for 25.

A much needed wicket for Warwickshire as Hameed remains unbeaten on 28 and is now joined by Joe Clarke in the middle.

Twenty overs remain at Trent Bridge.

  20. 50 runs

50 for Sam Northeastpublished at 17:37 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Hampshire 319 & 99-2 v Middlesex 79

Sam Northeast has reached his half-century and this partnership with Ian Holland, now worth 97, has really all but ended any last lingering Middlesex hopes you'd have thought.
