  1. wicket

Nottinghamshire set Warwickshire 333 to winpublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 17 April 2021

    Nottinghamshire 273 & 260 v Warwickshire 201-9

A late 39-run last-wicket stand is broken by Danny Briggs who removes Jordan Patterson for 22.

You'd feel Nottinghamshire have more than enough, especially with England opener Dom Sibley unlikely to bat for the Bears with a fractured finger.

    Hampshire 319 & 290 dec v Middlesex 79 & 85-3

    Essex 96 & 330 v Durham 259

    Kent 265-9 v Yorkshire 379 & 187-2

Speaking of England batters in good form, Joe Root has just moved on to 40.

It's been a classic Root innings. You look away on 10 not out and suddenly he's added 30 runs.

Adam Lyth remains unbeaten on 110. Yorkshire lead by 301.

  5. Postpublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 17 April 2021

    Surrey 484-4 v Leicestershire 375

    Ollie PopeImage source, Rex Features

Ollie Pope's already gone big today - he's currently unbeaten on 212 - but just how big will he go?

His first-class best is 251, so he'll certainly have that target in his sights.

And it's a rare opportunity for a player to be on 200+ with the match situation still lending itself to him going on and on.

Could the magic 300 even be a possibility?

  6. Postpublished at 16:21 British Summer Time 17 April 2021

    Glamorgan 285 & 152-5 v Sussex 481

Glamorgan could have this game done by stumps the way things are going.

Ollie Robinson has been on fire, taking his fourth of the innings with a cracking delivery that Chris Cooke feathers to the keeper.

Cooke goes for 12 and Glamorgan still trail by 44 with five wickets remaining.

  7. wicket

    Essex 96 & 319-9 v Durham 259

A big breakthrough as Brydon Carse grabs his fourth wicket, pinning Ben Allison leg before.

Allison's resistance finally comes to an end after 163 balls and over three hours in the middle.

Essex lead by 156 with number 11 Jamie Porter making his way to the crease.

100 for Adam Lythpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 17 April 2021

    Kent 265-9 v Yorkshire 379 & 170-2

He's done it with a boundary.

What an innings from Adam Lyth. Fellow Yorkshireman Joe Root is over to congratulate him.

After falling for 97 in the first innings Lyth responds in the best possible way, reaching his century off 142 ball with 13 fours.

  14. Postpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 17 April 2021

    Nottinghamshire 273 & 225-9 v Warwickshire 201-9

    Kent 265-9 v Yorkshire 379 & 162-2

At Canterbury and Adam Lyth has moved onto 94, three behind his first-innings score.

Joe Root is looking good at the other end on 33, wracking up plenty of minutes at the crease ahead of the summer.

Their partnership stands at 63 runs while Yorkshire's lead is 276.

  16. 'Somerset look to their bowlers again'published at 14:43 British Summer Time 17 April 2021

    Somerset 312 & 88-7 v Gloucestershire 309

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Somerset are yet again having to look to their bowlers to bail them out with bat as well as ball.

Craig Overton has gone already, cleaned up by a snorter from Ryan Higgins, and now Gregory follows him back to the pavilion.

  17. Postpublished at 14:42 British Summer Time 17 April 2021

    Somerset 312 & 88-7 v Gloucestershire 309

    Another Somerset wicket falls.

It's Lewis Gregory this time, chipping harmlessly into the hands of Matt Taylor off the bowling of Ryan Higgins for eight.

The hosts are going to need some tail-end fireworks here.

  18. wicket

WICKET Moores (b Briggs) 7published at 14:38 British Summer Time 17 April 2021

    Nottinghamshire 273 & 218-8 v Warwickshire 201-9

Three in four ain't bad though!

Danny Briggs has Tom Moores clean bowled and Warwickshire are just two away from wrapping Nottinghamshire's second innings up.

The Bears trail by 291 runs. Keep it below 300 and they might be able to make a game of it. Stranger things have happened.

  19. Postpublished at 14:37 British Summer Time 17 April 2021

    Nottinghamshire 273 & 219-7 v Warwickshire 201-9

Not this time. Stuart Broad faces it and flashes a streaky single to get off the mark.

  20. Postpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 17 April 2021

    Glamorgan 285 & 132-4 v Sussex 481

There's also been a 50 for Glamorgan's Kiran Carlson, his third of the season to add to the 127 not out he got in the first innings.

Plenty of action as we approach lunch in 15 minutes time.

Now back to Trent Bridge for that Danny Briggs hat-trick ball. We saw Mohammed Abbas get three in a row yesterday, can we make it two in two days?
