  1. GLAMORGAN BEAT KENTpublished at 17:50 British Summer Time 30 April 2021
    Breaking

    Glamorgan (197 & 19-0) beat Kent (138 & 74) by 10 wickets

Just 16 to knock off and Glamorgan have taken only three overs and have routed Kent at Cardiff.

It's a third defeat on the spin for Kent.

But the manner of this defeat is pretty gruesome - since being 88-1 yesterday morning they lost 19-124 in 46.1 overs.

For Glammy, it's a season very much back on track with a first win of the year.

  2. 50 runs

for Smithpublished at 17:49 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Surrey 490-3 v Hants 92

The Surrey batsmen continue to prosper at The Oval.

Jamie Smith goes to fifty off just 64 deliveries.

Hashim Amla has 207 and Surrey's lead is just shy of 400. You won't see many more dominant days than this.

  3. wicket

Notts all outpublished at 17:42 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Derbys 105 v Notts 256 & 318

    Stuart BroadImage source, Rex Features

Stuart Broad is bowled by Fynn Hudson-Prentice and the Notts second innings all ends rather quickly.

Their last five wickets went for 10 runs.

It means Derbyshire will need 470 for victory. Too many surely?

  4. wicket

Northamptonshire all outpublished at 17:41 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Yorks 206 v Northants 234

Not too much damage from the Northants lower order but they do take a first-innings lead of 28.

But after last week's turnaround, Yorkshire will be more than confident.

  5. Postpublished at 17:36 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Worcs 24-0 v Essex 561-8 dec

Worcestershire openers Jake Libby and Daryl Mitchell have got the Pears first innings off to a solid start.

Eight overs remain today at New Road... we could actually be on for an 18:00 BST finish! A rarity indeed.

  6. Notts losing wicketspublished at 17:31 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Derbys 105 v Notts 256 & 315-8

Notts have just lost Tom Moores and Liam Patterson-White in the space of two balls to leave them eight down at Derbyshire.

But with a lead of 466, it should be enough.

  7. wicket

Kent all outpublished at 17:31 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Glam 197 v Kent 138 & 74

The disaster is complete for Kent.

It's their third-lowest total against Glamorgan.

James Harris takes the last two wickets in four balls and Glammy will need only 16 to win inside two days.

  8. Postpublished at 17:29 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Glos 99-4 v Leics 421

All was well for Gloucestershire at 99-1 but they've just lost three wickets without adding to the score.

James Bracey played across the line to fall lbw for 27, Chris Dent felt for one sent across him and edged behind and Ian Cockbain has fallen for a third-ball duck by a full inswinger.

Leicestershire have not won at Bristol since they won the Championship back in 1998 but they're well on top now.

  9. Postpublished at 17:19 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Lancs 152-6 v Sussex 328

Three in three overs for Sussex!

It's Jack Carson again who has Liam Livingstone flicking tamely into the hands of short leg.

Lancashire were 137-1 but are now in huge trouble and your man Carson has four.

  10. 200 runs

for Amlapublished at 17:16 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Surrey 459-3 v Hants 92

As good an innings as you will ever see from one of the finest batsmen the game has ever seen.

Hashim Amla brings up his double hundred at The Oval.

    323 deliveries, 21 fours.

Surrey are so far ahead in this game. They lead by 367.

  11. Postpublished at 17:14 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Lancs 151-5 v Sussex 328

Now this has potential to be one of the stories of the season.

Jack Carson, the off-spinner from County Amagh in Northern Ireland, took a fine bag against Yorkshire last week and he's at it again here.

He claims a third wicket - Steven Croft playing forward and edging to Ben Brown on the juggle.

And then the huge wicket of Dane Vilas is taken by another youngster - seamer Jamie Atkins and his flowing hair.

Vilas chops into his stumps and goes for a duck.

Sussex suddenly very much on top.

  12. 50 runs

for Clarkepublished at 17:12 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Derbys 105 v Notts 256 & 300-5

Notts batsman Joe Clarke brings up his third half-century of the season.

Notts now lead by more than 450. Is a declaration on the cards imminently?

  13. rain stops play

Rain stops playpublished at 17:08 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Somerset 120-4 v Middlesex 357

Another rain shower has arrived in Taunton and off they go for the third time today.

  14. Northamptonshire and Kent leadpublished at 17:02 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Yorks 206 v Northants 210-7; Glam 197 v Kent 138 and 60-7

Not much more to play with for Northants but they have nudged into the lead at Headingley.

How strongly can the tail wag?

Kent have avoided the ignominy of an innings defeat at Cardiff but unless something outrageous happens, it's still looking like a heavy defeat.

  15. Postpublished at 17:01 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Worcs 0-0 v Essex 561-8 dec

Daryl Mitchell and Jake Libby get Worcestershire's first innings under way at New Road.

Libby scored 180 not out when the two sides drew at Chelmsford earlier this month.

How the Pears would like something similar from their new vice-captain this time around.

  16. Postpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Glam 197 v Kent 138 & 54-7

He may have claimed a five-for on his 45th birthday but it's a duck for Darren Stevens with the bat as Kent's slide continues.

Surely no way back now as Stevens goes to drive David Lloyd and loses his off stump.

Can Kent sneak past the deficit to avoid an innings defeat? They need another five runs.

  17. Essex declarepublished at 16:49 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Worcs v Essex 561-8 dec

Essex captain Tom Westley has called them in at New Road.

Centuries for Westley and Alastair Cook, and half-centuries for Dan Lawrence, Paul Walter and Simon Harmer have given Essex a mammoth first-innings total of 561.

  18. Five-wicket haul for Michael Hoganpublished at 16:48 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Glam 197 v Kent 138 & 46-6

    This is extraordinary in Cardiff.

Michael Hogan, Glamorgan's former captain, has ran through this Kent second innings.

He slides one into Jack Leaning and wins and lbw to complete a five-wicket haul.

    Kent are still 13 behind.

  19. Postpublished at 16:46 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Lancs 138-2 v Sussex 328; Glos 60-1 v Leics 421

Keaton Jennings has fallen for 60 at Hove.

And it's young Jack Carson with another wicket, turning one gently away from the left-hander who's edged to slip.

Gloucestershire have brought the fifty up at Bristol for the loss of Kraigg Brathwaite.

The West Indies captain fell lbw to Chris Wright to one that looked a shade leg side.

  20. 50 runs

for Harmerpublished at 16:46 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Worcs v Essex 557-8

Simon Harmer is on the charge!

The Essex all-rounder smacks Brett D'Oliveira for three sixes in an over to go to a half-century off just 47 balls.

    A declaration is surely imminent.
