    Tea: Sussex 328 v Lancashire 128-1

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

A solid session from Lancashire who have chipped away against tight accurate Sussex bowling.

Two teenagers Henry Crocombe 19 and Jamie Atkins 18, opened the Sussex bowling, but again it was the 20 year old off spinner Jack Carson who caught the eye and claimed the only wicket to fall that of Alex Davies for 34

Keaton Jennings reached the interval undefeated on 57 which has taken 140 balls, but he was dropped at slip by Van Zyl just before tea which could prove expensive for Sussex.

  13. 'Ball dominating'published at 16:03 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Tea: Glamorgan 197 v Kent 138 & 32-4

    Ffion Wynne
    BBC Radio Wales

Ball continues to dominate bat in Cardiff as Kent have slipped to 32-4, still trailing by 27.

It’s been a good day for veteran seamers as Michael Hogan has 3-15 so far in Kent’s second innings, after Darren Stevens’ five-for earlier in the day - the pair have a combined age of 84.

Glamorgan’s lead of just 59 is looking increasingly valuable.

The players have gone in for tea just as the rain starts to fall again and the covers come on – Glamorgan will be hoping it won’t be for too long.

  14. 'Session full of action'published at 16:00 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Tea: Somerset 86-2 v Middlesex 357

    Kevin Hand
    BBC Radio London

A heavily interrupted session was full of event as Middlesex stumbled over the line to a fourth batting point as Josh Davey rattled through his former county's final three wickets - Somerset were then left perilously placed on 16-2 in reply.

Two dropped catches from the same Tom Helm over allowed Tom Abell on his way though and he shares a stand with James Hildreth that has settled the final straight of the elongated session.

After the early lunch, Robbie White fell for the second time in his career in the 90s as he awaits his maiden ton but overall batting seems easier on the second day and after the early reprieves the hosts will hope to amass at very least a similar advantage if the weather holds.

  15. Surrey lead passes 300published at 15:57 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Surrey 395-2 v Hants 92

Ollie Pope pulls James Vince for his 12th boundary and that takes Surrey's lead up to 303.

    And they're not done yet.

Hashim Amla is approaching his double century - the South African is on 181. Pope has 114.

  16. Postpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Durham 266-3 v Warwickshire 87

Durham have lost Scott Borthwick and David Bedingham in quick succession at Chester-le-Street but they're still in complete control.

179 is the lead with opener Alex Lees still looking strong on 113.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Crawley b Hogan 1 (Glam 197 v Kent 138 & 30-4)

    Another one for Glamorgan!

England's Zak Crawley shouldering arms to one that nipped in from Michael Hogan and clipped the top of the off stump.

Three for Hogan and Glamorgan are on a victory charge at the moment.

    They still lead by 29.

And then David Lloyd strikes with his first delivery of the second innings!

The lbw shout against Joe Denly looks a little leg side but he's gone.

Kent are sliding down the River Taff and into the Bristol Channel.

  18. 50 runs

for Keaton Jenningspublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Lancs 115-1 v Sussex 328

Only 60 runs in four innings to start the season for Keaton Jennings so welcome runs here for the one-time England opener.

A pleasant steer through cover has brought him fifty in 125 balls.

  19. Postpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Glam 197 v Kent 138 & 25-2

Wickets continue to clatter in Cardiff.

Michael Hogan has picked up both openers - Jordan Cox to a marginal lbw that the batsman looked very unhappy with and Daniel Bell-Drummond to a feather-edge behind.

You would think Kent would need to set 150-plus to have a sniff.

  20. 100 runs

for Popepublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 30 April 2021

    Surrey 375-2 v Hants 92

Ollie Pope is churning out runs for fun this season.

The Surrey and England batsman goes to his second century of the campaign off 139 balls.

The other - he made 245 against Leicestershire. You wouldn't bet against him making it a biggun once again.
