for Stonemanpublished at 16:36 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Leicestershire 496 v Surrey 236-2

Great stuff from Mark Stoneman who reaches a first century of the current campaign.

It included 15 fours, many of which have come today, and his boundary hitting has rubbed off on partner Ollie Pope.

The England man hit Callum Parkinson for fourteen runs in the last over, including a four and six in consecutive balls.

Now, what of Somerset versus Felix Organ and Keith Barker, as this game has become.

The good news for Hampshire fans is that they are both still there - Organ has five runs from 93 balls! Barker has moved into the 40s.

For Somerset fans this must be painful viewing, but it's only two wickets and the situation can change in an instant.

We have a minimum 29 overs left to play.

  6. Final session starts at Headingleypublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Yorkshire 277-8 v Kent 305

After a brief rain delay after tea, they're under way again in Leeds.

Ben Coad smacks a couple of fours off Nathan Gilchrist to get his innings up and running.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:22 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Amla c Ackermann b Mike 15 (Leicestershire 496 v Surrey 208-2)

Surrey are two down as Ben Mike picks up his first wicket of the game not long after tea.

Experienced South African Hashim Amla hit a couple of fours in his 15 but departs after miscuing a shot to allow Colin Ackermann to take the catch.

Although, the dismissal seemed to catch even the commentators out here - give the clip below a listen for a little Sunday giggle.

  8. Hard fought, attritional sessionpublished at 16:06 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Hampshire 79 & 220-8 v Somerset 336 (Hampshire trail by 37)

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Somerset

Somerset must have thought they were almost there when Craig Overton got James Vince and Josh Davey did for Lewis McManus, but Felix Organ and Keith Barker have so far defied everything that Somerset have bowled at them.

Organ's four from 68 balls has struck exactly the right chord under the circumstances.

  9. Tea at Headingleypublished at 16:03 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Yorkshire 269-8 v Kent 305

That wicket of Steven Patterson brings tea in Leeds.

Across the Pennines at Old Trafford, it's stopped raining but the light is poor and so the final session of the match is delayed.

    Yorkshire are eight down.

Steven Patterson snicks Nathan Gilchrist to the keeper after having a big swipe and is on his way cheaply.

Can Yorkshire get up to 300 for a third batting bonus point? Every point could be crucial come the end of the group phase.

    Bohannon c Salter b Taylor 53 (Lancashire 208-5 v Glamorgan 344)

Josh Bohannon is out moments before some rain arrives and the players go off.

The Lancashire batsman cuts Callum Taylor to point and Andrew Salter takes the catch.

Let's hope the delay isn't for too long.

  14. 50 runs

for Bohannonpublished at 15:26 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Lancashire 207-4 v Glamorgan 344

Fifty for Josh Bohannon as he biffs Marnus Labuschagne over mid-off for four.

A fine innings so far from the 24-year-old Lancastrian.
