    Gloucestershire 25-5 v Somerset 300-8 dec

WICKETpublished at 11:24 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

    Joseph c Moores b Fletcher 4 (Notts 400-5 dec v Worcs 60-8)

SEVEN for Luke Fletcher who now has career-best figures.

The Notts paceman has Alzarri Joseph caught behind to leave Worcestershire 60-8.

Fletcher's figures are an incredible 7-26, the first time he's taken seven wickets in an innings.

Two left, can he make it nine?!

  6. Postpublished at 11:24 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

    Surrey 190 & 148-1 v Middlesex 160

Surrey don't seem in any undue hurry to push on towards a declaration at The Oval. Just 13 have been added in four and a half overs since Mark Stoneman was dismissed.

Rory Burns have moved on to 65 and Hashim Amla has 10.

  7. Postpublished at 11:22 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

    Kent 307 & 28-1 v Glamorgan 64-3 dec

Following Gloucestershire's Tom Lace (see 11:08 entry), another batsman is caught behind down the leg-side and this time it's Kent opener Ollie Robinson (14) who has to go.

A tame dismissal, but Glamorgan bowler Michael Neser won't care about that - it's not how you take them, it's how many you take.

  8. Glos collapse continuespublished at 11:19 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

    Gloucestershire 21-5 v Somerset 300-8 dec

Another wicket has gone at Bristol and it's a gift for Somerset.

Josh Davey strays onto Kraigg Brathwaite's pads, but the West Indies opener clips a catch to Tom Abell, stationed at mid-wicket.

Gloucestershire badly need someone to dig in now.

  9. Postpublished at 11:17 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

Comfortable for Kent so far and Ollie Robinson punches away off the back foot for a boundary in the latest Timm van der Gugten over at Canterbury. The home side's lead is now 267.

    Lace c Davies b Overton 0 (Gloucestershire 21-4 v Somerset 300-8 dec)

    Craig OvertonImage source, Rex Features

Two wickets in three balls for Craig Overton but Tom Lace doesn't look happy with that one.

He is strangled down the leg-side, but clearly doesn't feel he made contact and puts his hand in front of his helmet in despair as he returns to the home dressing room.

WICKETpublished at 11:07 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

    Smith lbw b Overton 3 (Gloucestershire 21-3 v Somerset 300-8 dec)

Great start by Somerset as Craig Overton pins night-watchman Tom Smith on the back foot and there is no doubt about the decision.

They have a lot of work still to do but The Cider Boys look in the mood for a big performance in the field.

    Essex 217 v Warwickshire 166 & 1-0

Another side looking for quick wickets this morning are Essex.

With a first-innings lead of 51, a few early ones might send some wobbles through the Warwickshire dressing room.

Nightwatchman Danny Briggs and Bears captain Will Rhodes are in the middle.

Start delayed at Derbypublished at 11:04 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

    Stoneman c Simpson b Bamber 74 (Surrey190 & 135-1 v Middlesex 160)

Opening over, opening wicket as Mark Stoneman plays a limp-looking cut shot and is caught behind without adding to his overnight score. Hashim Amla is the new Surrey batsman.

  19. Postpublished at 11:03 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

    Notts 400-5 dec v Worcs 53-6

After a frantic final hour at Trent Bridge last night in which Luke Fletcher took five wickets, Notts will be keen to polish off Worcestershire's first innings this morning.

And it's the big man with ball in hand first up bowling to Ben Cox.

  20. Postpublished at 11:03 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

    Kent 307 & 8-0 v Glamorgan 64-3 dec

After Glamorgan's surprise declaration, Ollie Robinson and Jordan Cox are together at the start of Kent's second innings.

Michael Neser bowls the opening over and Cox quickly finds the boundary with an easy push through mid-wicket.
