Here’s a surprise move.. a run chase apparently agreed at Canterbury as Glamorgan declare 243 runs behind at the start of day four.
A battle for bonus points had looked more likely if Glamorgan avoided the outside chance of a follow-on.
We’ve seen relatively few declarations in the Championship in 2021 - but Glamorgan saw their third-innings declaration at Northampton come back to bite them.
It's not clear how good the pitch is as we’ve seen more inactivity than action over the first three days.
Northamptonshire v Lancashire 75-1
No ground has seen less cricket over the past four days than Wantage Road, with only 28.1 overs bowled so far. It's overcast but dry at the moment, but a prompt start won't be possible after yesterday's rain.
Alex Davies is 45 not out for Lancashire, with Luke Wells yet to score.
