It's not just hotting up out in the middle in Birmingham, it's clearly tough going for the Edgbaston crowd too.

  3. Last hour at Old Traffordpublished at 17:11 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

    Yorkshire 159 & 254-7, Lancashire 509-9 dec

Umpire Alex Wharf has signalled to the scorers that we are officially into the last hour at Old Trafford.

The sands of time are slipping away a little too quickly now for Lancy.

128 overs gone. Dom Bess on 41 Jordan Thompson on 8.

  4. Postpublished at 17:10 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

    Leicestershire 332-4 (target 378)

    Umbrella field to Harry Swindells.

A very different game from the one 15 minutes ago.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:07 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

Lewis Hill lbw b Walallawita 2 (Leicestershire 332-4)

    Hang on!

Lewis Hill never really looked set and is trapped leg before playing a poorly-timed sweep.

Things have slowed right down now with 17 overs remaining and 46 runs required.

Keeper-batsman Harry Swindells is the new man in.

    Middlesex couldn't, could they?

  6. Livingstone looking dangerouspublished at 17:05 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

    Yorkshire 159 & 246-7, Lancashire 509-9 dec

Left-hander Jordan Thompson survives an over from Liam Livingstone, who has him looking uncomfortable as he tries to exploit the footholds.

With Matt Parkinson on at the other hand, it's an all-leggie attack now.

17 overs left. England's Dom Bess looks comfortable on 40

  7. 100 runs

for Colin Ackermanpublished at 16:58 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

    Leicestershire 331-3 (target 378)

A big sweep and Ackermann finally has his first century in over two years.

Great stuff from the captain who salutes the crowd. Now to see his side over the line.

Lewis Hill is the new man in by the way.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

    Marcus Harris c Simpson b Walallawita 185 (Leicestershire 326-3)

Oh no! Just 15 short of a double century and Marcus Harris prods one straight to the keeper.

A brilliant knock comes to a close off 311 balls including 21 fours and one six.

A chance now for Middlesex, but I think Leicestershire are already close enough. 52 still needed.

  9. Postpublished at 16:50 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

    Leicestershire 326-2 (target 378)

That'll release some of the pressure. After a a few maidens with Colin Ackerman stuck in the 90s and Marcus Harris in the 180s, the former strikes a four to move on to 98.

Only 53 runs needed for victory now. And 20 overs to get them in.

  10. wicket

Luke gets Dukepublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

    Duke b Wood 29 (Yorkshire 159 & 218-7, Lancashire 509-9 dec)

    Another twist at Old Trafford.

Harry Duke leaves one from Lancashire left-arm seamer Luke Wood, coming round the wicket, but it jags back off the seam to flick the top of the teenage wicketkeeper's off bail.

After his 52 in two and half hours in the first innings, Duke has again proved a real obstacle, determinedly taking up 88 balls this time over his 29, to help put on 58 for the seventh wicket with Dom Bess (34).

Three more wickets needed. About an hour and a quarter of playing time left.

New man in is left-hander Jordan Thompson - with Ben Coad and Duanne Olivier padded up.

    More twists to come, surely?

  11. wicket

Briggs strikes at Edgbastonpublished at 16:36 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

    James c Burgess b Briggs 19 (Notts 129-7)

Lyndon James is caught behind trying to cut Danny Briggs for 19.

A fourth scalp of the innings - and seventh of the match - for wicketkeeper Michael Burgess.

Warwickshire can smell victory here. Just three more wickets needed.

Zak Chappell is next man in.

  12. Postpublished at 16:34 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

    Leicestershire 312-2 (target 378)

Colin Ackerman is now into the nervous 90s, nine away from his first century in two years.

He very nearly falls short as Thilan Walallawita steams in and the ball fails to bounce, rolling under Ackermann's bat and just wide of the stumps.

    A timely reminder that.

  13. 300 runs

up for Leicestershirepublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

    Leicestershire 300-2 (target 378)

    Just 78 more needed now.

Colin Ackermann dabs a single to move on to 87. Marcus Harris remains unbeaten on 171.

We've got a little under 25 overs remaining. I can't see anything but a Leicestershire win here.

  14. wicket

Moores is out at Edgbastonpublished at 16:22 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

    Moores b Rhodes 21 (Notts 123-6 v Warwickshire)

Tom Moores goes. Notts now six down.

Bears captain Will Rhodes makes the breakthrough as he comes round the wicket to left-hander Moores, who plays round a straight one and loses his off stump.

Liam Patterson-White comes in to join Lyndon James, who is on 19.

  15. What have Lancashire got left?published at 16:21 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

    Yorkshire 159 & 218-6, Lancashire 509-9 dec

We're off and running again at Old Trafford - and Yorkshire's Dom Bess and Harry Duke plod remorselessly on.

28 overs left to get four Tykes wickets. What have Lancashire got left?

  16. 'This will rub salt into an already deep wound'published at 16:15 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

    Leicestershire 294-2 (target 378)

    Kevin Hand
    BBC Radio London

Leicestershire are on course for a stunning turnaround at Grace Road - one that would sting painfully Middlesex who have twice seen matches turned on their head this season.

The pitch has undoubtedly flattened - against all predictions - but the achievement remains a remarkable one.

It would be the third highest successful run chase by Leicestershire - 394-7 against Derbyshire in 1947 being their best - and a 1980 chase sandwiched in between.

For Middlesex, two collapses cost them dear as Somerset came from a long way behind to beat them twice in the first four rounds - but this will rub salt into an already deep wound as they'll feel they've barely put a foot wrong in the match.

  17. Postpublished at 16:06 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

    Leicestershire 285-2 (target 378)

Back under way and a three from Leicestershire's Marcus Harris (167 not out) brings up the 200-run partnership.

Colin Ackermann (80 not out) blocks out the rest of Luke Hollman's over.

Just 93 needed to win now.

  18. Postpublished at 15:57 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

It's all getting a bit tense as Warwickshire and Lancashire try to force victory by taking wickets and Leicestershire continue to make headway in their unlikely run chase.

So let's lighten the mood a little with this video from two newly-wed cricket fans.

A great tune for a special day. And congratulations from the BBC Sport online team.

  19. Tea at Edgbastonpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

    Warwickshire 341 & 264, Notts 297 & 123-5

Still five more wickets needed for Warwickshire to beat Notts at Edgbaston.

Tom Moores is on 21, Lyndon James is on 19.

The pair have put on 34 so far but their initial pursuit of 309 to win has long since been abandoned.

Just as at Old Trafford, this is all about Nott simply saving the game now.

  20. Tea at Old Traffordpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

    Yorkshire 159 & 206-6, Lancashire 509-9 dec

Some said this game wouldn't make it the final session on the final day.

    They were wrong.

This is, after all, a Roses Match.

Just like this morning, only two wickets have gone down in the afternoon session and Yorkshire are still hanging in there in determined fashion

Harry Duke is on 9, from 55 deliveries. Dom Bess has lasted almost two hours for his 25.
