    Northamptonshire 183 v Durham 308-8

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle commentator

Durham have settled for two batting points in their first innings on a slowish pitch in Northampton.

They also restricted the hosts to only two bowling points as they were eight down when 110 overs came.

But it's about staying out there for as long as possible and Liam Trevaskis (42) and Matty Potts (33) are adding real niggle value here.

Their ninth-wicket stand is now worth 72 runs and the Durham lead has moved to 125 valuable runs. The new ball is also a distant memory.
