    Yorkshire 108 v Warwickshire 155 & 40-4

    What. A. Session.

And what a game we've got in store. Warwickshire did the hard work, removing Yorkshire's last two wickets first thing.

But with the bat, again they've struggled, collapsing to 27-4. Dom Sibley and Michael Burgess have though added some resistance before lunch, with the Bears leading by 87.

It's all a little tense in Yorkshire.

    Somerset 42-4 v Lancashire 373

Another over of tight calls as Jack Blatherwick first appeals, thinking he's got Azhar Ali caught behind and then appeals for a leg before off the very next ball.

Graham Lloyd says no to both, and both times I reckon the umpire has just about got it right.

But boy, the ex-Pakistan international is only just holding on.

    Yorkshire 108 v Warwickshire 155 & 32-4

Dom Sibley moves to 16 with just the second four of Warwickshire's innings.

The Bears' lead now jumps to 79. I wonder what they'd consider a good total to defend on this pitch? 150? 170 maybe?

  5. 50 runs

for Ben Slaterpublished at 12:20 British Summer Time 13 September 2021

    Hampshire 226 v Notts 102-5

Two runs off Liam Dawson and there is an 85-ball fifty for Ben Slater.

Hampshire call up Keith Barker for another burst - but from the opposite end to where he had all his success earlier this morning.

    The deficit is 124.

    Hildreth c Wells b Balderson 2 (Somerset 38-4 v Lancashire 373)

Somerset's out-of-form top order is being exposed once again.

This time James Hildreth's fidgety innings comes to an end, as he edges to the slips.

George Balderson has his second after Luke Wells takes a smart catch, low to his right.

Somerset, by the way, trail by 335.

  7. Postpublished at 12:17 British Summer Time 13 September 2021

    Somerset 38-3 v Lancashire 373

Another huge shout waved away by umpire Graham Lloyd.

Jack Blatherwick tricks Azhar Ali with a fuller one and is convinced he's got the former Pakistan captain.

A quick, firm "no" from the umpire.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:12 British Summer Time 13 September 2021

    Lamb b Patterson 0 (Yorkshire 108 Warwickshire 155 & 27-4)

    Another one!

What a start for Yorkshire. Steven Patterson has his sixth wicket of the match, bowling Matthew Lamb who falls for a nine-ball duck.

In comes Michael Burgess who managed 66 in the first innings. How Warwickshire would love him to repeat his day one heroics.

The Bears lead by just 74.

  9. Postpublished at 12:08 British Summer Time 13 September 2021

    Hampshire 226 v Notts 90-5

A single to Liam Patterson-White off Brad Wheal as he and Ben Slater post a valuable 50 partnership for the Division One leaders.

Spinner Liam Dawson takes up the attack from the other end and starts with a tidy over, which costs him one run.

    Hain c Duke b Thompson 0 (Yorkshire 108 Warwickshire 155 & 26-3)

Two in two. Jordan Thompson's on a hat-trick.

Again he finds the edge, removing Sam Hain for a king pair.

Incredibly, 23 wickets have fallen at Headingly so far and we're not even at lunch on day two.

Now for the hat-trick delivery. New man Matthew Lamb will face...

Tom Bailey thinks he has Lancashire's fourth, striking the front pad of new man James Hildreth who's yet to get off the mark.

Huge appeal, but nothing given. That one looked even more plumb than Tom Lammonby's wicket.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:47 British Summer Time 13 September 2021

    Lammonby lbw b Bailey 6 (Somerset 31-2 v Lancashire 373)

What a delivery from Tom Bailey who grabs his, and Lancashire's second.

After serving up a flurry of out-swingers, he gets one to nip back in, pinning Tom Lammonby leg before.

That's absolutely plumb. No hesitation from the umpire to give that one.

    Hampshire 226 v Notts 68-5

    Ben SlaterImage source, Rex Features

Keith Barker takes a breather with figures of 5-19 to his credit - 4-8 from his spell this morning. Notts will be glad to see the back of him.

Ian Holland is his replacement and Ben Slater clips his opening delivery through square leg for four.

A square drive by Slater finds the boundary to end an over which costs Holland 10 runs - the Notts opener is 36 not out.
