Devon Conway is making batting look very, very easy at the moment.

Devon Conway leans on another drive to pick up two more.
James Anderson is getting annoyed here. He scurries to pick up a defensive push and turns rounds in anger, as if he's going to launch the ball at Conway.
That comes after Richard Kettleborough has a quiet word about staying off the pitch.

Will Young is from the middle of the North Island. He plays for the Central Districts and he has been a solid player for them for some time. He bats at four and above.
I haven't seen a lot of him, but I know he's scored quite a lot of runs. He's been waiting for quite a while.

It was a full ball at some pace by Stone but that was a lovely drive by Young. We've seen some lovely on-drives in this match.

Offt! That's a shot. Will Young hasn't quite got going yet, but he leans on a straight drive to caress it to the fence.
He picks up another boundary with a steer through gully to end the over.
Is he going to make Joe Root pay for that drop?
We didn't manage to get this to you before the gremlins, but here's how Stuart Broad removed Tom Latham to move level with Courtney Walsh on the all-time Test wicket-takers list.

That is played beautifully by Conway. It's the economy of his movement. You'd despair as a bowler seeing that.

Hey everyone! Sorry about that...
Like yesterday the Hollies stand and Edgbaston have got more vocal most lunch. They've been singing about Harry Maguire, not wanting to go home and of course about Jimmy Anderson.
Talking of Jimmy, he's found a little bit more movement since lunch, beating the outside edge of Devon Conway a few overs ago.
Conway, however, has just carried on from where he finished at Lord's. He's played a beautiful cover drive since lunch, and he steers through the cordon to move to 45.
I'll leave you with Callum Matthews for the rest of the afternoon. Be nice.

The good news is that your suggestions for cricketers as construction materials have been flooding in. Quite possibly the highlight of my day.

It all adds up to New Zealand moving on to 60-1, with Devon Conway - he of the Lord's double century - on 41 and Will Young on seven. Fingers crossed, we'll be with you for the rest of the day now...
It got worse for England after lunch, with captain Joe Root spilling an absolute sitter at first slip off Olly Stone to reprieve Will Young on seven. Easy doesn't do it justice. You'll see tougher catches taken up and down the country in village cricket this weekend.
The main talking point was Stuart Broad believing he had Devon Conway caught for 22 by Zak Crawley at third slip. The umpires sent it upstairs with a soft signal of not out and the third umpire didn’t see anything to overturn that call.
Broad and England were incensed, believing Crawley had managed to get the fingers of his right hand under the ball in time before gathering it in both. But once the soft signal didn’t go England’s way, it was no surprise the third umpire didn't overturn the on-field call. Another one of those very marginal decisions where it is so hard to tell from the replays.
Sorry, sorry, sorry everyone. Technical problems, as they say. Gremlins very much in the system.
Here is what you missed since our laptops went up in smoke...

Will Young is playing his third Test. He played a couple over our winter for New Zealand.
He made his Test debut against West Indies in December and made five in his first Test and 43 in the second Test. He just batted once in both of those.
In first-class cricket he has been playing for Durham and he struggled in the first couple of games before scoring 124 against Warwickshire and 103 against Worcestershire. He averages 42 in first-class cricket.
Tom Latham did at least get in one sublime shot before he fell...
Will Young has his outside edge beaten again but otherwise is stoic in defence as he plays out a maiden from Stuart Broad.
England are really zipping through their overs here.
