Pretty mixed over from Olly Stone, including one way down leg to end that James Bracey does well to pouch. It's a maiden though.

This delivery would've upset Del Boy...

Anyone else think Olly Stone looks a bit like Rodney Trotter?

Will Young is doing a brilliant job for his team.
Like Devon Conway, he's got a very simple technique.

Mark Wood pushes it full but Ross Taylor strides out to guide it through extra cover for one.
Will Young continues to play watchfully and sees out the rest of the over. England now have a leg slip in place for him - crafty or desperate?
Mark Wood is on.
Anything above 90mph would be very welcome.
I'm betting Will Young the singer's wikipedia page has seen a surge in page views over the last two days.

Another Evergreen performance from Will Young.
Malc in Lancashire
Will Young gets cramped up by James Anderson and the ball drops down by the crease. Anderson slots it onto the stumps a la Thierry Henry, but Young never left the crease. Just a bit of footy practice for Anderson.
And with that, Ross Taylor duly taps a single into the leg side to get off strike. He will not be unhappy about that.
James Anderson gets another over. A long spell for him, but with Ross Taylor on strike, Joe Root would be a brave man to take Anderson off.

Whoever we pick in the construction materials XI, I hope they won't be bowling beamers.

We could also draft in Farokh Engineer to supervise things.

Better from Stone. More of that required.

And now Olly Stone overcorrects and slides it down the leg side, allowing Will Young to clip it fine for four.
You expect it from young bowlers but it's really not what England need right now.
Shot! Will Young goes with the swing and uses the pace of Olly Stone to slice it over the cordon and through vacant third man for four.
That's a freebie. Stone isn't backing up Anderson and Broad well enough here.

Since 2020 Ross Taylor is only averaging 26 in 10 Tests.
Before that in his career he was averaging 47 and in his previous 50 Tests he was averaging 52.8.
Ross Taylor will do very, very well to get through this period.
James Anderson looks like getting him every ball.

Ross Taylor can be very dangerous when he gets in, but England think they have a chance with him at the moment.
It was umpire's call...but on impact.
In fact it was missing leg stump entirely.
A very wise review and Ross Taylor survives.
Slightly odd it took him so long to send upstairs - a clear sign he's a bit frazzled and unsure of where his stumps are.
Could be umpire's call this...
