    WICKET Bell-Drummond c Bopara b 82published at 16.2 overs

    Kent 136-6 v Sussex

Daniel Bell-Drummond has a dart leg side here...

    ...and holes out!

Thought it was time to have a go but not enough club and an easy catch on the midwicket fence.

But a wonderful innings that's put his side in good spot to post a strong score.

  2. Watch: Two in two for Millspublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 18 September 2021

This game has swung one way and the other.

Kent are getting back on top now but here are the two wickets in two balls from Tymal Mills that got Sussex back in it a few overs ago.

  3. Kent 134-5 v Sussexpublished at 16 overs

    George Garton is back.

And bowls a beautiful slower ball out the back of his hand that deceives Daniel Bell-Drummond and strikes him on the back trying to pull.

But he gets chopped away past short-third man by Darren Stevens for four.

And then flicked by Bell-Drummond wide of fine leg for four more.

Great over for Kent and they're rolling again.

  4. Kent 122-5 v Sussexpublished at 15 overs

Ooo cute touch this from Daniel Bell-Drummond.

He waits and waits and waits and then deflects Ravi Bopara from off stump to the fine third-man fence.

Slightly different from Darren Stevens and he lifts over extra-cover for four.

Kent back in decent shape entering the final five overs.

  5. Kent 112-5 v Sussexpublished at 14 overs

A terrible mixup between long-off and long-on allows Darren Stevens to pick up an early boundary.

Then a huge cry for lbw against Daniel Bell-Drummond but he's hit it.

  6. Kent 104-5 v Sussexpublished at 13 overs

Chris Jordan back for a second over.

He's worked leg side for two as the Kent 100 comes up.

Two more to Daniel Bell-Drummond to finish the over.

  7. Kent 96-5 v Sussexpublished at 12 overs

What a comeback over from Tymal Mills.

That pace is why England have recalled him.

Daniel Bell-Drummond still there but Kent now have to go again to post 180, which is perhaps a target from here.

  8. Kent 94-5 v Sussexpublished at 11.5 overs

Ah that's tame. Length outside off and an easy leave.

  9. Tymal Mills on a hat-trickpublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 18 September 2021

Darren Stevens to face the hat-trick ball...

WICKET Cox c Salt b Mills 0published at 11.4 overs

    Kent 94-5 v Sussex

    Gone first ball!

90mph again full, just outside off, Jordan Cox pushes at it and nicks it behind!

It's a big wicket again, it's just done him for pace.

He was expecting a short ball but didn't really move his feet. The ball had bowled him before he moved.

  12. wicket

WICKET Leaning b Mills 0published at 11.3 overs

    Kent 94-4 v Sussex

    Tymal Mills is back.

And he's straight through Jack Leaning!

Full and straight and too good at 90+mph.

Suddenly Sussex right back in the innings.

Ravi Bopara for the first time today.

A horrible full toss is only pulled for one by Sam Billings.

It was too high and a no-ball.

    So a free hit...

And a length ball that is swung over deep square by Daniel Bell-Drummond. Lovely clean hit.

But then Billings swings leg side and loses his leg stump!

A misjudgment of pace, he's cleaned up.

  15. The Edgbaston lullpublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 18 September 2021

    Kent 84-2 v Sussex

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at Edgbaston

There are unconfirmed reports of a staggering drunken parrot having been spotted somewhere in the immediate environs of Edgbaston.

But it's otherwise quite quiet as the rest of the crowd gradually get their breath back after such a stunning climax to the first semi-final.

It will no doubt start to liven up shortly, as the bars seem to still be doing a good trade - and then no doubt there will be more than just that parrot falling off his perch!

The arrival of Ravi Bopara (a final hero and winner on his last visit here with Essex two years ago) into the Sussex bowling attack has already been well received with great raucousness!

  16. Kent 81-2 v Sussexpublished at 10 overs

A second over for Will Beer.

Daniel Bell-Drummond takes him wide of midwicket for two.

And then a firm drive down the ground brings Sam Billings his first boundary.

Kent in good shape at halfway.

Fantastic knock so far from Daniel Bell-Drummond. The Kent batsmen in the top order might well know, if one of your top four gets a score of 80 or more, I think the win stats go mad. I think it is around the 80% mark.

What an innings this has been from Daniel Bell-Drummond - a chanceless half-century.

Here's the six he hit off Tymal Mills earlier.
