  1. Sussex 62-5published at 10 overs

    Target 169

Jack Leaning will bring some off spin to two left-handers.

Harrison Ward chops one away for two wide of deep cover.

Just five from the over and Sussex with it all to do in the second half of the chase.

Just the 10.7 an over needed from here.

  2. Watch: Leaning takes brilliant catchpublished at 16:46 British Summer Time 18 September 2021

Jack Leaning is into the attack - the perfect time to remind you of the fantastic catch he took a few overs back...

  3. Sussex 57-5published at 9 overs

    Target 169

Some turn first ball into George Garton and a huge cry for lbw.

Umpire says not out but Hawk Eye has three reds!

Garton survives but he needs to play some innings to help his side home from here.

  4. wicket

WICKET Bopara c Billings b Qais 22published at 8.4 overs

    Sussex 57-5 (Target 169)

    A beauty!

Floated up, draws Ravi Bopara into driving, some turn takes the edge and this time Sam Billings can hold on.

A massive and potentially fatal blow for this chase.

  5. Sussex 52-4published at 8 overs

    Target 169

Almost another as an outside edge from Ravi Bopara can't be held by Sam Billings.

The keeper is stood up and it was an impossible chance.

Bopara takes advantage and whacks the final ball of the over down town for six over long-off.

Not a perfect strike but effective. And necessary.

Why wouldn't you believe it?? Darren Stevens can do no wrong!

He's just getting better and better and better - the Benjamin Button of cricket strikes with his first ball. It's written in the stars.

Get him on the plane to the Ashes!

Stevens for England? Thumbs up for yes, thumbs down for no.

  7. wicket

WICKET Wiese b Stevens 3published at 7.1 overs

    Sussex 43-4 (Target 169)

Here he is. Could he do it with the ball as well?

Can you believe it first ball!

Outside off and David Wiese goes to drive and drags it into his stumps.

Vital runs early and now a wicket for Darren Stevens.

  8. Sussex 43-3published at 7 overs

    Target 169

Here's Qais Ahmad with his leggers.

One slides on and there's a huge lbw shout against David Wiese - but he's outside the line.

    Just three from the over.

    It's a bonus wicket.

It's actually a decent shot, he's smashed it over the cover region but Jack Leaning has come full tilt off that boundary, diving full length and catching it just off the grass. It's a stunning catch.

He's getting the hugs and high-fives off the bowler for saving a four and getting him a wicket.

  11. Sussex 40-3published at 6 overs

    Target 169

    A dominant powerplay for Kent.

Good runs on the board and now three early wickets.

    Asking rate 9.21.

  12. wicket

WICKET Rawlins c Leaning b Klaassen 2published at 5.5 overs

    Sussex 39-3 (Target 169)

Final over of the powerplay and Fred Klaassen is back.

An excellent yorker, a clip for two, a bumper for another dot.

    And then...

Delray Rawlins cuts on the up into the off side but is brilliantly caught by Jack Leaning sprinting in from deep cover.

Fantastic catch and Kent really are in the driving seat now.

  13. Sussex 37-2published at 5 overs

    Target 169

    Grant Stewart now.

Twice he goes through Ravi Bopara with decent pace but Bopara responds with a sweet cover drive for four.

Good over for Kent again and they are on top here.

  14. 'Incredibly unlucky' for Wrightpublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 18 September 2021

    Peter Trego
Notts Outlaws all-rounder on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

I can only describe that as a pinball player when the ball is on tilt - he had to stand and watch it ricochet back on to the stumps.

That hit about three different parts of Luke Wright before it hit the stumps, it was incredibly unlucky.

The Sussex bowlers will definitely be happy to see the back of him because he's a devastating player when he gets in.

  15. wicket

WICKET Wright b Milnes 10published at 4 overs

    Kent 31-2 (Target 169)

Matt Milnes for the first time.

A lucky miscue from Ravi Bopara flies over backward point for two.

Then a slower ball that's heading way down leg is chased by Luke Wright and he gets a cue end into his stumps!

Wright trying to heave it over the leg side and is through with the shot way too soon.

Very unfortunate to get the bottom of the bat into his timbers.

  16. Sussex 26-1published at 3 overs

    Target 169

Joe Denly gets a second over, perhaps surprisingly.

A drag down is pulled for four by Luke Wright.

But then a tidy finish and it's about even so far.

  17. 'Quite incredible performers'published at 16:19 British Summer Time 18 September 2021

    Peter Trego
Notts Outlaws all-rounder on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

I wonder if there's a partnership in world cricket that have got more experience in terms of games than Ravi Bopara and Luke Wright.

They are quite incredible performers in this format.

  18. Sussex 19-1published at 2 overs

    Target 169

10 from the over but the big wicket of Phil Salt.

An exciting start to the chase.

  19. wicket

WICKET Salt c Billings b Klaassen 9published at 1.3 overs

    Sussex 15-1 (Target 169)

Fred Klaassen to share the new ball and an eventful over.

He opens up with a leg side wide.

Then some inswing off a length cuts through Phil Salt.

Salt responds by coming down and he flicks past short-fine leg for four.

    Words between the pair.

    Another wide.

    And then and edge behind!

A drive from Salt outside off and an edge to Sam Billings' right shoulder.

  20. Sussex 9-0published at 1 over

    Target 169

Phil Salt slaps the second ball past the bowler for four.

And then a half-volley is driven through cover for four more by Luke Wright.

    Not great from Joe Denly.
