Stevie Eskinazi (32 not out) scored a maiden T20 century for Middlesex against Essex last night with an unbeaten 102.

But that was in a losing cause sadly. However, he has made a strong start to this evening's contest at The Oval to try and rebuild this innings after the early loss of two wickets.

Daryl Mitchell (22 not out) is there alongside him to help bring up a 50 partnership for the third wicket.

    Leics 79-1 v Yorkshire

Arron Lilley hooks a slow bouncer from Matthew Waite for six and brings up a half-century partnership with Scott Steel for Leicestershire. It's Lilley's second maximum in his 30 off 16 balls and Steel is on 27.

  3. Rapids to chase 179 targetpublished at 18:55 British Summer Time 25 June 2021

Durham 178-8 v Worcs - end of innings

It's a huge six as Ben Raine clobbers Ben Dwarshuis over mid-wicket for six, but having made 19 off seven balls, the Durham all-rounder is caught at long-off from the next delivery.

A bye and a single to Matty Potts follow and that's the end of the innings.

Essex Eagles v Kent Spitfires (19:00 BST)

Essex v Kent is always a lively rivalry as the two counties on opposite sides of the Thames estuary go head-to-head.

It's "Fortress Chelmsford" the venue this evening with Essex coming off the back of wins in London against Surrey and Middlesex.

Kent got the better of their old foes at Canterbury on Sunday thanks to a commanding total of 236-3 but seam bowler Matt Quinn (pictured above) makes a return to Chelmsford having recently agreed another loan move from Essex to Kent before joining the Spitfires permanently from next year.

Will he come back to haunt his former team-mates?

    Northants v Lancashire 23-2

Finn Allen is outfoxed by Ben Sanderson after hitting a six earlier in the over and Northants have their second wicket. The Lancashire opener backed away from his stumps to try and play through the off-side, but the ball arrives much slower than he expected and flattens his middle stump.

Allen made 16, with Keation Jennings departing in the previous over, caught at mid-wicket off Wayne Parnell for six.

  6. Robinson makes comebackpublished at 18:47 British Summer Time 25 June 2021

    Sussex v Gloucestershire - starts 19:00 BST

    Ollie RobinsonImage source, PA Media

It's a big night for Ollie Robinson, who returns to cricket following a short break from the game after he was suspended from international cricket for racist and sexist tweets he posted in 2012 and 2013 which were shared online.

His only game since the Lord's Test against New Zealand was a second XI T20 match against Hampshire 10 days ago when he took 0-30.

Sussex are the only unbeaten side in the competition, with three wins and three no-results so far, while South group leaders Gloucestershire are looking for their fifth victory.

  7. wicket

WICKET Inglis c and b Root 16published at 18:44 British Summer Time 25 June 2021

    Leics 24-1 v Yorkshire

An absolute gift of a wicket for Joe Root as he sends down a full toss and Josh Inglis can only jab the ball straight back at him. Root barely has to move in order to take the catch and the dangerous Australian is gone.

    Durham 147-6 v Worcs

Brydon Carse is caught at square leg off Ish Sodhi to end the 17th over at New Road. The Durham player made 15 off seven balls. Sean Dickson has also gone, lbw to Charlie Morris for 21 in the previous over.

  9. Big Colin at the early double for Hawkspublished at 18:42 British Summer Time 25 June 2021

    Somerset 17-2 (3 overs) v Hampshire Hawks

Colin de Grandhomme makes the perfect start to his Hampshire career by picking up the wickets of James Hildreth and his fellow countryman Devon Conway in the same over.

I imagine they'll be a few words about that between them in years to come.

Not the start Somerset were after but the dangerous Tom Banton is still there.

  10. Jacks strikes twice for Surreypublished at 18:39 British Summer Time 25 June 2021

    Middlesex 10-2 (1.4 overs) v Surrey

Two wickets fall in three balls for Middlesex as Will Jacks and his occassional off-spin accounts for Joe Cracknell and Nick Gubbins.

Couple of early set-backs for the visitors.

    Northants v Lancs 3-0

An excellent opening over by Mohammad Nabi at Wantage Road restricts Lancashire to three singles. Finn Allen and Keaton Jennings are a high-quality pair, so the Steelbacks will want to see the back of them as soon as possible.

WICKET Bancroft c Dwarshuis b Morris 26published at 18:32 British Summer Time 25 June 2021

    Durham 125-4 v Worcs

More catching practice for Ben Dwarshuis at New Road as fellow Aussie Cameron Bancroft picks him out at mid-off. Brydon Carse comes out to the middle to join Sean Dickson.

  14. Postpublished at 18:31 British Summer Time 25 June 2021

    Leics 8-0 v Yorkshire

Joe Root opens up with the ball for Yorkshire at Grace Road and his first delivery is edged past the keeper for four by Josh Inglis. Does that count as a moral victory for the England Test skipper? Four singles follow to end the opening over.

  15. Black Caps take new ballpublished at 18:31 British Summer Time 25 June 2021

Two members of New Zealand's World Test Championship-winning side are straight into the action for Hampshire and Surrey.

Colin de Grandhomme and his flowing locks open up proceedings for Hampshire at Taunton against Somerset while the human tower that is Kyle Jamieson makes his Surrey debut by opening the bowling at The Oval against Middlesex.

  16. Postpublished at 18:29 British Summer Time 25 June 2021

    Durham 123-3 v Worcs

Cameron Bancroft finally finds a way to the boundary with a perfectly executed reverse sweep off Ish Sodhi. He moves on to 26 not out and there are five overs left in the Durham innings.

  17. Postpublished at 18:26 British Summer Time 25 June 2021

    Durham 116-3 v Worcs

There are 14 overs gone at New Road and Durham need to start picking up the scoring rate. Sean Dickson has hit a couple of boundaries but Australian Cameron Bancroft is 19 not out from 20 balls faced.

    Devon arrives in Somerset!

A headline-writer's dream that one as Devon Conway prepares to make his debut for Somerset against Hampshire this evening.

The New Zealand opening batsman is fresh from helping his country win the inaugural World Test Championship against India this week.

He'll be in action fairly early on in the piece too as Hampshire have won the toss and put Somerset into bat.

Added to that, he'll also be lining up against his countryman Colin de Grandhomme who also makes his Hampshire debut.

  19. wicket

WICKET Stokes c Dwarshuis b Barnard 20published at 18:15 British Summer Time 25 June 2021

    Durham 91-3 v Worcs

Worcestershire have managed to put a bit of a squeeze on the Durham scoring rate with no boundaries in the last two overs, and the 11th ends with the downfall of Ben Stokes.

The England all-rounder goes for a big heave over the leg-side but the ball flies off the outside edge and Ben Dwarshuis safely pouches the catch at third man.

That's the one the Rapids wanted.
