    Northants v Lancashire - start 18:30 BST

Lancashire are among the favourites to progress from North group, but have not won in their last three games - defeat, abandonment, tie.

They welcome back pace bowler Saqib Mahmood for his first T20 game of 2021 against a Northants Steelbacks team who finally registered their first win by beating Durham on Wednesday.

    Durham 72-2 v Worcs

Daryl Mitchell comes into the attack with his gentle off-spin. Second ball, Ben Stokes backs away from his stumps and belts it away over long-off for six. The England all-rounder is 10 not out. Eight overs have been bowled.

    Durham 65-2 v Worcestershire

An important wicket for the Rapids as David Bedingham attempts a late dab towards third man and feathers a catch to Ben Cox behind the stumps. He hit two sixes and six fours in his 26-ball knock.

Ben Stokes isn't seeing much of the strike at New Road as David Bedingham continues his assault on the Worcestershire attack. A four through the covers takes the total past 50 and when Charlie Morris bangs one in short, Bedingham puts it away over square leg for six to advance to 38 not out.

    Durham 47-1 v Worcs

Looks like David Bedingham is warming to his task.

He follows a boundary at the start of new Dillon Pennington over by pulling the paceman emphatically over mid-wicket for the game's second six.

Another four comes off the next ball and Bedingham has 28 off 17. Ben Stokes picks up his first run from Pennington's final delivery and that is five overs complete.

    Durham 30-1 v Worcs

Glorious. David Bedingham takes two short steps down the wicket from his open stance and crashes Ben Dwarshuis over mid-off for four.

The South African has 13 not out but Ben Stokes has yet to score from his first three balls faced.

We praise his strokeplay, Graham Clark departs. 'Twas ever thus.

The final ball of Ben Dwarshuis' opening over is angled across the Durham opener but he doesn't get over his square cut and Brett D'Olivieira takes the catch at point.

Who's next for the visitors? Mr Benjamin Andrew Stokes, no less.

    Durham 15-0 v Worcs

They don't hang about, these Durham openers - and that is a very productive opening over.

Graham Clark rocks back to force Jake Libby away for the game's first boundary and then lofts him over mid-off for a maximum, easy as you like.

If Durham keep this scoring rate up, they'll reach 300 - but only the most optimistic north-east cricket fan would expect that to happen.

    Durham 0-0 v Worcs

David Bedingham and Graham Clark are proving an effective opening pair for Durham in T20 cricket, with a combined total of 324 runs in their six completed games - one was washed out.

They are out in the middle and Jake Libby is opening the bowling for the Rapids.

The pacesetters in the North and South groups are all away from home this evening.

North leaders Yorkshire - who are unbeaten in five, winning four of them - are taking on revitalised Leicestershire, while closest rivals Notts Outlaws have made the short journey to Derby.

Gloucestershire, leaders in the South, are away to Sussex Sharks - the only unbeaten side left in the competition - and second-placed Kent Spitfires have crossed the Thames Estuary to take on 2019 winners Essex.

Keep an eye on those matches.

Unless you're an Essex Eagles fan, you have to feel a little sorry for Middlesex batsman Stevie Eskinazi, who hit an unbeaten 102 off 61 balls and still finished on the losing side.

They made 183-2 at Lord's but Essex timed their run-chase to perfection, boosted by Dan Lawrence's 59, as Simon Harmer hit the final ball of the game for four to earn his side a two-wicket victory.

There were plenty of runs too at Bristol as Glenn Phillips made 94 not out off ony 41 balls as Gloucestershire totalled 216-2 as they beat Glamorgan by 34 runs.

At Edgbaston, Tom Wood hit an unbeaten 63 for Derbyshire in his first T20 match of the season as they chased down a target of 170 with five balls to spare against Birmingham Bears to win by five wickets.
