  1. Spirit 23-1published at 80 balls left

Issy Wong is a fantastic bowler and is all smiles as Heather Knight plays and misses at a ball outside the off stump.

Wong sways down the leg side and a batter as experienced as Knight can easily clip it off her pads for four.

    Dottin lbw b Wong 9 (Spirit 17-1)

The decision remains! It was a good ball from Issy Wong, a little bit of swing, and the TV replays confirm the ball would have gone crashing into the stumps.

A huge wicket for Phoenix as the dangerous Dottin heads back to the dugout.

It looked a bit high to me.

Wong has Dottin trapped on the pads, the lbw appeal is given out by the umpire.

Dottin reviews so we go to the TV umpire.

Naomi Dattani could use the pace of the ball there to get it away, she didn't have to try and hit it too hard.

  9. Spirit 16-0published at 86 balls

Issy Wong - one of the most exciting bowlers in world cricket - is brought on by Phoenix. She is rapid and has said she wants to become the first female cricketer to bowl 80 miles per hour.

A loose delivery first up from Wong is carved to the boundary by Dattani.

Deandra Dottin has hit the fastest T20 hundred in women's international cricket - it was off just 38 balls, which is ridiculous.

Nice comeback from Gordon with some tight bowling.

Spirit skipper Heather Knight is doing her stretches on the boundary rope. I'm talking high-knees, lunges, arm rotations, the lot.

Dottin is beginning to enjoy herself already.

  13. Spirit 10-0published at 93 balls left

Kirstie Gordon's first ball is greeted with a boundary as Dottin drives through the gap in the off side. Nicely timed.

Dottin needs to be careful, we saw that the ball is plugging in the outfield in the Birmingham innings and it happened again there, and Dottin was just meandering between the wickets expecting a boundary. It got there in the end though.

  15. Spirit 6-0published at 95 balls left

Dattani and Dottin are very pleasing names to say out loud.

And it is Dottin who scores the first boundary of the innings, hitting down the ground for four.

Right, the players are making their way back on. Dr Kishan Bodalia is on the decks at Edgbaston. He's a doctor by day, DJ by night.

Over lockdown he performed in his scrubs from his kitchen in Birmingham to his thousands of followers online.

    What a bloke.

I was slightly disappointed not to see 17-year-old India superstar Shafali Verma get going today. Still plenty of time left in this tournament, though.
