And on that note, Heather Knight calls in her time for their strategic timeout. That's basically a two minute break where the coach can join the players on the field and they can gather their thoughts and chat about game plans and stuff.
I think.

Dean should have stopped that. It almost look like the ball spun off the turf or she slipped.
Another two fours for Eve Jones, both crunched through the off side. The wicket of Amy hasn't bothered her, clearly.
But the second four should've been stopped - Charlie Dean covered a lot of ground to get there, put in a solid dive but somehow ended up missing it.
Here, by the way, is Amy Jones' run map, which shows how she scored her runs all around the ground. Captain's knock!
Here are two of the early wickets that fell for Birmingham Phoenix before the Joneses got together.

They were playing such aggressive cricket that you did think something was going to give.
A Jones b Dean 33 (Phoenix 101-4)
Big moment. Amy Jones was trying to give herself room to hit through the off side but as she misses, Charlie Dean hits.
Phoenix have got to keep up that momentum that Amy Jones gave them.
It's not quite going to plan for Sprit right now. Eve Jones gets four more as the ball makes its way through the two fielders chasing it on the boundary.

It was hit flat and hard, she was coming round and looked as if she had it about waist height but it just went through her hands.
First of the game! Amy Jones whacks it out to the leg side boundary, Freya Davies gets two hands to it but as she drops it, it goes over the rope for six!
Amy Jones has got to make them pay for that drop. She's one player you don't want to give a second chance to.
Dottin recovers well and goes for just one run from her last three balls.
Amy Jones has 26 from 13 balls and Eve Jones has 31 from 30, but Heather Knight doesn't look flustered one bit. She gives Deepti Sharma a cheery thumbs up as she brings her back on to bowl.

The Phoenix are building an extraordinary partnership here.
Deandra Dottin bowls a slower ball but it's wide and Amy Jones can easily thump it away for four through the off side.
She repeats the dose next ball!! I can't keep up. These two are smashing it!

That's the beauty of this format, it takes you two or three balls and you're back up to a decent strike rate.
Wow, that was hit hard. You guessed it, Eve Jones has hit another four.
Oh, and another one, despite the fielder making a valiant jump to get there. Phoenix back in the driving seat now.

If one Jones doesn't get you, the other one will.
Eve Jones is cross with herself because she's hit the ball too well and too hard so that it just goes straight back to the bowler.
Not a bad problem to have, I suppose. I'm buzzing if I ever hit one at all.
Amy Jones, you beauty. She gets down on one knee, switches her hands and reverse sweeps spinner Charlie Dean for another four. Loooovely.

We've got two batters here who are starting to get into the groove now. But they will want to get a move on.
