A little bit of fortune. You can see there's an eagerness from England to get on with it and take to the spinner.
Close! Tammy Beaumont looks to be getting a tad frustrated by spinner Leigh Kasperek. She tries to cut a ball that isn't quite short enough and nearly drags it back on to her stumps.
She throws her head back in frustration - and the bowler does the same.
Beaumont 31, Knight 21
Jess Kerr comes back on to bowl and benefits from the fielders being spread out, but England are happy just ticking along with singles at the moment.
They'll be pleased with this platform they've set.
Just the one wicket to fall for England so far.
Lauren Winfield-Hill was looking confident for her 21 from 24 balls - and she won't want to see this dismissal again ...
Beaumont 29, Knight 19
Leigh Kasperek backs up the efforts of Lea Tahuhu and Hannah Rowe with another solid over that goes for just three.
I've just spotted a spider in the corner of my kitchen. Anyone else seem to have loads of spiders around at the moment?! It's really not fun.

A lovely piece of timing. Knight has looked frustrated last couple of overs but that was too over-pitched from Tahuhu.
A good start after drinks for England as Heather Knight clips nicely off her legs for four runs, followed by a scampered single.

This has been a relatively good start for England, but it's the type of wicket where you need a really good score to feel you're out of reach for the opposition.

Knight has hit a couple out of the middle but she just can't seem to split the fielders.
A tidy start from Kasperek who goes for just two. Since Winfield-Hill got out, Tammy Beaumont hasn't been scoring as fluently and Knight is yet to really get going.
New Zealand have got to capitalise on this pressure they've built and not let them get away.
We've got some spin for the first time today as Leigh Kasperek replaces Hannah Rowe.

That was slightly over-pitched by Tahuhu and she knew it straight away.
Beaumont 27, Knight 11
This is brilliant bowling from Lea Tahuhu. She's not doing anything fancy, just bowling very straight and giving no width but it's so effective in tying Beaumont down.
That is until Beaumont crunches yet another glorious drive through the covers to the boundary as the bowler just goes a bit too full.

That was driven nicely form Knight. It just split the fielders.
Knight gets her first boundary with a well-timed drive, expertly placed through cover and point. That feels like the first boundary in a long time - probably the first bit of width that Hannah Rowe has offered in this spell so far.
And as I type that, she drops very short and wide on the last ball but Knight can't cash in - chopping it straight to the fielder.
Beaumont 21, Knight 5
New Zealand's fielding is backing up their fine bowling efforts here, with Leigh Kasperek pulling off a diving stop at point to save an almost certain boundary from Heather Knight's bat.
Just the one from that Lea Tahuhu over.

We went out for a team dinner last night and on the way back, walked past a bar that was doing karaoke. I don't wish to be rude, but I haven't heard Sweet Child O' Mine mangaled that badly in a long, long time...
Another impressive over from Hannah Rowe, who beats Tammy Beaumont on a couple of occasions and just four singles come from the over.
This feels like a really key passage of play with New Zealand building some pressure. If they can sneak another wicket here they'll be delighted.

New Zealand and building some good pressure here. Not giving England any loose deliveries.
Beaumont 19, Knight 1
Lea Tahuhu has started very well, every ball consistently on a good length. Alongside Hannah Rowe they've just seized back a bit of control after the opening bowlers weren't quite on it.
The runs aren't flowing quite as freely as they were but that's still a decent powerplay for England.
