It may seem like a lost cause for England but every run is crucial now. You never know how important those boundaries from Farrant could be.
Four more!
A rank full toss from Leigh Kasperek is swept round the corner and away to the fine leg boundary by Tash Farrant.
Can she hang around with Danni Wyatt?

That's a lovely shot, as good as anything we've seen all day!
Shot!
Tash Farrant gets off the mark with a lovely drive through the covers for four.
Lovely.

The ball has nipped around a little bit but there's no demons in this pitch at all. The scowl on Kate Cross' face shows exactly what the mood will be in England's dressing room.

That's a pretty minging dismissal.
Cross c Down b Kasperek 1 (Eng 146-9)
Oh, England.
Kate Cross looks to drive away, and just ends up looping a catch up to Lauren Down at backward point. It is a good catch from Down, who diving forward, low to the ground.
Leigh Kasperek has 2-22.

England just haven't got any partnerships going. Kate Cross needs to just stay there with Danni Wyatt now and let her accumulate the runs.

England's batters are going to be really disappointed. New Zealand have bowled well but they have all been soft dismissals and they have gifted their wickets away.
Kate Cross, who is also capable with the bat - she did hit the first six in The Hundred - gets off the mark with a steer down to deep third for a single.

It's another soft dismissal, another one just lobbed to the fielder. Ecclestone has fallen into the trap.
Ecclestone c Satterthwaite b Rowe 4 (Eng 145-8)
Another one!
Hannah Rowe has returned, and she bangs it in short, and Sophie Ecclestone miscues the pull shot straight to Amy Satterthwaite at short mid-wicket.
England have a mammoth task on their hands to even just bat the 50 overs.
Catch it! Sophie Ecclestone looks to drive, but doesn't time it at all, and the ball just loops towards the cover fielder. The fielder decides to just bring out the long barrier, though, rather than diving forward for the catch. A missed opportunity, I would say.
Danni Wyatt then slices one just over the head of mid-off.
A couple of lives for England.

Danni Wyatt can trust Sophie Ecclestone's batting here, but she will just have to be the calm head in this partnership.
New Zealand are sensing blood here. Jess Kerr, who opened the bowling earlier and was extremely economically, is back on.
She starts with five more dot balls, but offering Danni Wyatt too much width. Wyatt climbs into the cut shot, and forces it behind backward point and away to the boundary.
Wyatt is up to 35.

It's like deja vu from the last game, there's just far too many overs for England's lower order to get through.
Apparently New Zealand did get their review in within the 15 seconds. The TV coverage didn't really pick it up, so it felt like a lot longer before we knew the review was happening.
Sophie Ecclestone, who is the new batter, is capable with the bat, but England won't want her facing 19 overs when they are trying to defend their World Cup title come March next year.
The England spinner gets off the mark with a three, which she picks up courtesy of a nudge round the corner.

Whoever called that review, that is excellent. That's a big wicket for New Zealand, those two were rebuilding nicely.
Dean c Martin b Kasperek 8 (Eng 134-7)
England are in deep, deep trouble.
Charlie Dean was looking to drive, and there is a clear spike as the ball passes the outside edge, and the 20-year-old is gone.
New Zealand did seem to take an absolute age to call for that review. Was it within the 15 seconds?
