  1. Eng 108-5published at 25 overs

    Winfield-Hill 37, Wyatt 15

Just one leg bye from another impressive Jess Kerr over.

So we've had 25 overs, halfway through this first innings and you know what that means. It's time for Callum Matthews to replace me and see you through the second half.

  3. Eng 107-5published at 24 overs

Wyatt and Winfield-Hill seem happy to just rotate the strike at the moment and they're doing it pretty well, taking five from Tahuhu's over with minimal fuss.

What would a good score be for England from here? One more wicket brings in Charlie Dean in just her second international match, which this pair will certainly be wary of.

  4. Eng 102-5published at 23 overs

Some proper rebuilding going on from England as we approach the halfway mark. Just two from Jess Kerr's over, who has gone wicketless so far today but is bowling tidily and and keeping the pressure on England's batters.

And here's the wicket of Amy Jones - one she won't be best pleased with.

  6. Eng 100-5published at 22 overs

    Winfield-Hill 34, Wyatt 11

A good over for Danni Wyatt, who gets up on her toes and plays it expansively through the off side for four. She follows it with an almost identical shot for three more as Lea Tahuhu is getting some decent bounce on this pitch.

Some polite applause ripples around the ground as England bring up their hundred.

    Phil Long
    BBC Test Match Special statistician

This is Danni Wyatt's 78th ODI and she has just one century and one half-century, and averages 19.

  8. Eng 91-5published at 21 overs

    Winfield-Hill 33, Wyatt 4

Danni Wyatt, on her ODI comeback, is in at seven. This probably isn't the position she expected to come in at, to say the least. She pulls a full toss from spinner Leigh Kasperek firmly, but Hannah Rowe pulls out a stunning save on the boundary to keep it to two.

Has this been poor batting or is the pitch doing a bit? It's not easy to tell.

I'm having flashbacks to the fixture earlier in the summer when England played India here. It looked a good pitch then, and England only just got over 200, and it looked as if they should have got more. Only as the match progressed did it become obvious it was difficult to score, and I just wonder if it could be the same today.

The pitch may be more tricky to play on than we initially thought.

That is another soft dismissal. She'd been itching to find the boundary, and the timing just wasn't on the pull shot at all.

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 20 overs

    Dunkley c Jensen b Tahuhu 11 (Eng 85-5)

    And there it is!

The pressure tells on Sophia Dunkley, who is tempted by a shortish delivery from Lea Tahuhu. She goes for the pull shot but miscues it for another simple catch to mid-wicket.

  12. Eng 82-4published at 19 overs

Dunkley takes a big swipe outside off stump and is lucky not to edge it to the keeper. Bowler Hannah Rowe has her hands on her head - she feels this next wicket is not too far away.

  13. Postpublished at 12:22 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

England will be disappointed with their dismissals. Being honest, you'd probably say every player has got themselves out as opposed to being undone by exceptional bowling.

  14. Eng 79-4published at 18 overs

    Winfield-Hill 28, Dunkley 8

This is testing Sophia Dunkley's patience. She has eight runs from 21 balls which is not a style of play she'll particularly be used to.

She almost chops the ball onto her stumps trying to guide one down to third man, but executes it correctly next ball to run a quick two.

I absolutely love Worcester. There's just a lovely atmosphere here - you can wander around, there's the cathedral in the background, plenty of greenery for kids to have mini-matches on during the interval. It's just a great place to watch cricket. It's plenty busy today, too. My favourite flag so far is the one that declares Katherine Brunt is the Barnsley Express.

  16. Eng 76-4published at 17 overs

New Zealand's impressive bowling continues as Hannah Rowe delivers a maiden over. They're not letting this pressure ease any time soon.

What is happening to England? Maybe I am being too harsh, because there has been some terrific bowling.

I have been watching the Sophie Devine wicket of Tammy Beaumont on repeat.

  18. Eng 76-4published at 16 overs

Sophie Devine tempts Winfield-Hill with some short stuff but the batter resists, allowing each ball to go through to the keeper. She will know how crucial it is to have a set player at the crease in this situation.

  19. Postpublished at 12:10 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

The key for England is that Lauren Winfield-Hill is still there on 27 and while she may need to rein in her attacking instincts for the next few overs, she's just about holding the innings together at the moment.

Hannah Rowe just hung the ball outside off stump, and Sophia Dunkley is so strong through the off side. She just breaks her wrists and hits it through.
