I stand corrected. Courgette in a cake must clearly work.

I won't lie, I've cracked into the cake that arrived in the TMS box and it is superb.

Sophie Ecclestone comes on for her first bowl of the day. The girl's shoulders must be ruined. Wonder how many overs she's bowled this summer?
Doesn't seem too bad though as she bowls a probing over that goes for just one.
Maddy Green's dismissal is not one she'll particularly want to see again.

Mark Burt: Bar a couple of players, the standard of batting in this series has been diabolical at times. Given the talent on both sides it’s baffling and doesn’t bode well for T20 WC.
Freya Davies hasn't quite found the same consistency as her bowling counterparts so far. Sophie Devine pulls into the leg side for three after a scrambling dive on the boundary from Nat Sciver.
A single to Satterthwaite from the last ball brings up New Zealand's fifty.
Courgette? In a cake?
Satterthwaite 8, Devine 7
Another one crunched to the boundary, this time from Sophie Devine who gets down on one knee to drive as Shrubsole bowls very wide.

That was a beautiful shot. It raced away to the boundary - it just shows what a good wicket this is.
Satterthwaite 8, Devine 2
Crunched! Amy Satterthwaite latches onto some width from Freya Davies and nails it past point for four runs.
It's still early, but she's timing the ball very nicely.
And here's some not-so-excellent fielding from poor Tammy Beaumont, who got into a right pickle with this diving attempt.
Here's the first wicket to fall, that of Suzie Bates, thanks to some excellent combined fielding from Nat Sciver and Amy Jones.

If there's someone I don't want telling me to move at a cricket game, it's Katherine Brunt...
For some strange reason, a couple have set up their deckchairs and picnic right behind the bowler's arm. Embarrassingly they're moved along and have to do a couple of trips to go back and get their food and chairs, causing even more of a delay.
Katherine Brunt has the job of telling them (hopefully politely) to get out of the way.
End of the powerplay and it certainly belongs to England.
Big appeal on Sophie Devine first ball but it's given not out. Probably going down leg side given how much swing Shrubsole gets so they opt against the review.
Heather Knight was definitely tempted though, because it's Devine. Do I need to say again how important this partnership is between the captain and Amy Satterthwaite? We say it every time.

That's a fantastic ball from Shrubsole. It's the way she moves the ball in from different trajectories. That one didn't move as much as the other ones.
Down b Shrubsole 11 (NZ 33-3)
Big trouble.
It's beautifully bowled by Shrubsole, pitched up and just the right amount of swing to beat Lauren Down's defence. England are delighted.
Batting first hasn't done much to change New Zealand's fortunes.

That was the wobble seam and just went away from Satterthwaite. New Zealand were just inches away from being three down.
This looks a seriously good pitch and an even better outfield. Not much more than a push to cover from Lauren Down races away to the boundary.
Followed by another edge - and another one dropping short of Heather Knight at slip. Sciver has her hands on her head and grimaces, suggesting it was very close to carrying.
