Back to the current day.
Fast bowler Jayden Seales has the ball in hand. Jonny Bairstow on strike...
There's another Warne tribute piece on the TV currently. What a player and so sad.
You may have seen this tweet from our colleague Henry Moeran last week, which I was lucky enough to be involved in. A proper legend.

I was on holiday last week when I heard the news about Shane Warne. It really shook me. He was such a big part of mine and I am sure many other childhoods.
England rugby union coach Eddie Jones, another Aussie, has been paying tribute...
Dan Lawrence was one of those recalled for this "red-ball reset". He looked alright in reaching 20 before he played a loose poke outside off.
Since then Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow dug in but the scoring rate has ground to a halt. Neither have a strike-rate above 20.
Here Will gives with one hand but takes from the other...

As ever Joe Root was in early - the third over in fact after promoting himself to number three.
It's far, far too early to write off that tactical switch.
The England captain made a bad error of judgement to leave a delivery from the excellent Kemar Roach. It nipped back and clipped Root's off stump.
Let's start with the openers...
I thought debutant Alex Lees was a little unlucky. He reviewed his lbw dismissal and the impact was only just in line with off stump.
Zak Crawley played a truly awful drive and was brilliantly caught by wicketkeeper Joshua da Silva.
Carlos is unsurprisingly chipper.
England fans up and down the country are just banging their heads against the wall.

I'm very happy. The elder statesmen in the West Indies bowling line-up have led it - Kemar Roach and Jason Holder have been excellent. It gives Jayden Seales and Alzarri Joseph more time to get into this match and this series.
Cheers Kal.
I think, just maybe, we might have seen this one before.
Time for a change in the live text hotseat as I tag in Matt Henry.
Hopefully he'll bring England fans better luck than I did.

We've just had the first rendition of The Great Escape from the Barmy Army trumpeter. Seems a little early for that....
It looks pretty windy out there with not much sun but that does not prevent many of England's faithful Barmy Army men from going topless and trying to work on that tan. I applaud their efforts.
Five dot balls from Alzarri Joseph, before a Bairstow single ends the over and the first session.
Twenty four overs.
Fifty seven runs.
Four wickets.
Woeful from England.

This pitch is extremely slow, making shot play very difficult. It could get a bit quicker tomorrow, but if you run up and bowl line and length like Holder and Roach, it's very hard to score runs
Bairstow pushes through the point region for two and then nudges to mid-wicket for one more.
This patient approach from Stokes and Bairstow will be praised if they go on to lead England's recovery and score big. But for the time being, it's a pretty dull watch.
Having said that, it doesn't look the easiest of pitches for England to score on either.
Stokes is treated to a full-toss at thigh height and can only tamely slap it back to bowler Joseph.
The England all-rounder does clip to the leg side for two, but he and Bairstow haven't looking overly bothered about scoring runs or rotating the strike so far.
On a few occasions today there has been a lull with very little happening and then suddenly West Indies strike. The tourists will be hoping that doesn't happen again.
Kemar Roach - having taken the wickets of debutant Alex Lees and the important scalp of Joe Root - returns to the attack.
The seamer found plenty of movement earlier but there is far less swing now as Bairstow sees off the maiden.

If you include Holder's last four deliveries against England in the T20s, Holder's taken five wickets without conceding any runs.
Stokes 3 (37), Bairstow 1 (13)
Will Jason Holder concede a run at all today? He's bowled 24 consecutive dot balls.
