Bearing in mind that India have posted 201 and 221 in their two innings so far, England will still back themselves here. But there are still a lot of ifs and buts in play, if India's explosive openers can fire.

Deepti Sharma was the pick of the bowlers for India with her 3-47 and the run out of Shrubsole, while Nat Sciver top scored for England with 49.

But India were outstanding in the field, with great energy and enthusiasm from the first ball they were putting their bodies on the line to prevent boundaries, they took all their catches and Taniya Bhatia was once again majestic behind the stumps.

Sarah Glenn and Kate Cross then boshed a few around and added a very useful 22 in the closing overs of England's innings, with Cross even hitting the first six of the game.

How important will those 22 runs prove to be in a few hours' time?

England's lower order couldn't quite get things going, although Sophia Dunkley again looked very comfortable at the crease for her 28, but India's spinners kept piling on the pressure.

... and Smriti Mandhana provided the goods for her side. I'll let her catch do the talking.

Nat Sciver looked in imperious form again and played aggressively for her 49 - it looked as if it would need something very special from India to get her out ...

It was India's spinners who once again undid England's middle order, but they were backed up by some brilliant catching from the fielders.

Lauren Winfield-Hill and Heather Knight rebuilt for England, but Knight in particular seemed to struggle to find fluency on a slow-ish pitch.

India got off to the dream start by dismissing the dangerous Tammy Beaumont for a duck in just the second over.

Thanks, Callum! Well, I think this is quite evenly poised. You'd probably have to say England will think that's a below par score, but it didn't look easy to bat and India's batting line up is yet to fire this series so anything could happen.

Let's just take a quick look back at England's innings.

I'm going to hand you back over to Ffion Wynne, who will take you through the interval and the first half of India's chase.

In theory the interval is 30 minutes, which means India's chase will start at just gone 16:15 BST.

However, with them taking 20 minutes longer than scheduled for their overs, we may get a shortened break.

That innings feels like it's gone on for about four days. It has gone on for three hours and 20 minutes.

That is going to be a tough chase for India on a slow pitch.

Shafali Verma is kicking the boundary sponge in frustration. She'd have been in with a chance had she not come in from long on.

Kate Cross! The next No Balls pod is going to be fun...

Shafali Verma is a good four or five yards off the boundary there, if she's on it, that's a wicket. She's not had a great day in the field.

    Another boundary!

Kate Cross comes down the track and drives back past the bowler.
