Tim Southee was the best New Zealand bowler but Trent Boult looks like he has having some trouble, he's not getting it to swing late. I still can't quite work out how this game gets to a result unless there is a clatter of wickets. The question is if India can get themselves to a run rate where they can win it. I can't see them taking it. Can you bowl New Zealand out in a session? It will be difficult. I can't see it quite working. I think that's the reality. That being said. If there's one side in the world who could open it up it is India.
India have nudged into the lead, losing Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma in the process...

For the time we have had the match is fairly advanced. That's because the bowlers have held sway. We've had the best batting conditions in the last session, but because of the game situation there was a cautious approach. Rohit Sharma struggled a bit and was pruned down from what he capable of. Cheteshwar Pujara was accessing his inner Pujara. Virat Kohli was only there a short time but looked busy.
Only for Kyle Jamieson and Tim Southee to reverse the momentum...
It's been another absorbing day, starting with India working their way through the New Zealand batting...

It's been an eventful day. The game is still alive despite losing two days to rain. There are 98 overs are still be bowled tomorrow which is a lot of cricket.

New Zealand haven't allowed India to get away. Two wickets is okay, three would have been great. Tomorrow's first session will be a big session in the context of the outcome of the match.
Lead by 32
That's the lot. Another fascinating day. The draw the favourite? Tomorrow could be a cracker, though.

Richard Illingworth has just had a stern word with Virat Kohli for where he was running on the pitch. It wasn't just a polite request to stay off the pitch but an extended conversation.
There's some sort of hold-up. The umpire has had a stern word with Kohli and Kane Williamson is doing a lot of ball-shining. This will be the last over.
Possibly the last over of the day coming up. It certainly will be if New Zealand can sneak another wicket.
So what if I've just been hit on the head? Next ball, Kohli plays a sweet clip off his toes for three.
That's the sort of thing that makes the umpires twitchy about the light.
Clonked on the helmet! Kohli gets into a tangle against a Southee bouncer and wears one of the badge.

Jack: We are still likely to get 320 overs in this Test match, has any team really shown any intention to push the game on and try and win? Issue with one-off Tests is that no team wants to lose!
There's a double-header of international cricket on TMS tomorrow. The sixth day of this WTC final is followed by England's first T20 against Sri Lanka. We'll have live text and highlights from both here. Pujara sways out of the way of a Jamieson short ball. Kohli to face Southee...

It's nipped back and hit Rohit Shamra on the back knee. It's good bit of bowling from Tim Southee but a huge misjudgment. Rohit had got himself in a bit of rut in the past few overs. If New Zealand can get rid of Virat Kohli before the close that will really ramp it up a bit.
