It was a very well-judged catch by Bumrah. He kept cool under pressure.

    Jamieson c Bumrah b Shami 21 (NZ 192-7)

Kane Williamson plays a waiting game against Mohammed Shami and when the India seamer drops one in short the Kiwi capitalises as he hammers it through square leg for four. He then nudges a single to bring Kyle Jamieson on strike.

Jamieson launches Shami for a huge six over his head for six but is then lured into taking on a short ball. He skies it to down to square leg and Bumrah, a couple of paces inside from the boundary, takes the catch.

  6. NZ 180-6published at 15:18 British Summer Time 22 June 2021

This innings could be crucial from Kyle Jamieson as the sun starts to peek through. If he's able to really get going and whack a quick half-century it will be advantage New Zealand again. Kane Williamson, meanwhile, continues to operate at a Chris Tavare-esque pace at the other end to Jasprit Bumrah. That's not to knock the New Zealand skipper, it's been a vital innings to hold things together for the Kiwis.

A lengthy check to see if there's any bat involved and ultra edge shows nothing. The ball-tracking determines it's umpire's call on whether the ball was hitting the wickets and where it pitched so Kane Williamson survives.

  15. Umpire reviewpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 22 June 2021

Kane Williamson is still relatively measured compared to Kyle Jamieson's approach. A testing delivery from Mohammed Shami whistles past his outside edge before the Indian paceman strikes the Kiwi captain on the pad. The original decision is not out, but Virat Kohli refers it.

  18. NZ 175-6published at 15:04 British Summer Time 22 June 2021

Kyle Jamieson looks an imposing figure at the crease. He swings at a full ball from Ishant Sharma but misses. He does the same again a few balls later but does not quite connect and the ball spoons up just over mid-off. Nevertheless he's picking up runs. Jamieson slogs the final ball of the over to cow corner for two more to take his total to 10 runs off the over. Good counter-attacking stuff from New Zealand.
