    Labuschagne lbw b Robinson 103 (Aus 241-3)

    ENGLAND HAVE TAKEN A WICKET!

And Robinson keeps his foot behind the line! It's a good ball, nipping back in at Labuschagne to trap him on the back pad as the Aussie batter leaves it.

A much-needed breakthrough. Can England make the most of the momentum?

It looks pretty out. Labuschagne is out of his crease though.

Labuschagne will be confident of getting away with this. Maybe there is a question about height.

    Oh, now then!

Labuschagne is given out lbw. He's reviewed it. Here we go ...

  5. Aus 241-2published at 97.4 overs

So what can England do from here? My advice would be to try and catch the ball and keep their feet behind the line.

Might be a good place to start.

  6. Postpublished at 04:39 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2021

And here is the moment that Marnus Labuschagne brought up his century. I bet he cannot believe his luck right now.

Robinson might have got a finger on it. It bounced more than Labuschagne expected. Because Robinson is so close it gave him no time to react.

  8. Aus 241-2published at 97 overs

Labuschagne pulls firmly past the outstretched hand of Ollie Robinson at square leg. Broad, the bowler, raises his arms to the air in complete and utter frustration.

Still thinking about that no-ball. It's so ridiculous, and yet so England, it's almost funny.

Harrison Short: Absolutely farcical and embarrassing from England. Architects of their own downfall.

  10. Aus 240-2published at 96 overs

I'm not sure things could have got much worse after yesterday's drop. That was just farcical.

Not entirely sure what England can do from here. Is there a way back?

  11. Aus 239-2published at 95.3 overs

Joe Root is livid. He's not expressing much, but you can just tell.

Oh I just don't know what to say. England can't possibly feel sorry for themselves. That's Labuschagne's third escape.

I was just about to say that was exactly what England needed. It was a perfect delivery. I don't know what to say.

  13. Aus 238-2published at 95.1 overs

    You would NOT believe it.

Ollie Robinson has Marnus Labuschagne caught behind.

But. It's a front foot no-ball. I have no words.

  14. Aus 238-2published at 95 overs

    Labuschagne 102, Smith 27

They're going to bat all day, aren't they?

  16. Aus 237-2published at 94 overs

It was a bit of an edge run down through third man. Like a gladiator Labuschagne is showing his bat to the crowd. This prodigious run machine will be hungry for more.

  19. 100 runs

100 for Marnus Labuschagnepublished at 04:20 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2021

Labuschagne deliberately edges down to the third man boundary to reach his century.

He laps up the Adelaide applause, bat and helmet raised. Dropped twice, he's made the most of it. Well played.

Labuschagne has treated that like a grenade. It behaved like nothing else we have seen so far.
