    England toiled away for what felt like hours in anticipation for the new ball under lights.

    I slept through one of my alarms this morning. It's almost as if the prospect of watching Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith bat all day on a road was not particularly appealing to my bleary-eyed self after three hours' sleep.
