It looks a belting day in Canberra. Katherine Brunt is wiping sweat from her brow down on the boundary edge. Still, Shrubsole is going to continue.

Biffed down the ground from Meg Lanning. Cross might get the attack taken to her after here after the excellence of Brunt and Shrubsole.

Australia will want to get through this tough spell from Anya Shrubsole and Katherine Brunt and then take onthe first change bowlers. England have gone into this with five bowlers with Heather Knight to pick up some overs in case someone does get taken down.
Healy 19, Lanning 9
Shrubsole responds perfectly with five more dots, taking the total in the first 10 overs to a remarkable 45.
We have our first bowling change. Here's Kate Cross...
Shot. That's one of the best we've seen this morning. Alyssa Healy whips her wrists and takes a boundary down to fine leg.

England have bowled so well in these first nine overs. They've really executed their plans well.
I think you'd call this consistent...
Alyssa Healy tucks her bat under her arm after the streakiest of boundaries off the inside edge past her stumps. Shrubsole is less impressed and looks frustrated again as Lanning skews one away at the end of the over.

England will be pleased with this start. They've bowled some good lines and lengths and got their reward.
Healy 10, Lanning 7
Just as I was about to see England were giving Australia nothing, Meg Lanning puts away a full toss from Brunt. It was a slower ball out of the back of the hand that came out wrong.
Still, Australia's run-rate is only 3.14.

Anya Shrubsole is bowling some really nice lengths. England have a little bit more buzz which is what a wicket brings. Australia feel a little bit of pressure.
Does Anya Shrubsole swing the in-swinger further than any cricketer in the world? Remarkable.
There are gasps and groans as Lanning gets a single off an inside edge.
Healy 9, Lanning 0
I'm not sure Katherine Brunt has bowled a bad ball yet. "Wait there," belts Lanning after the most solid of forward defensive shots.

It was a really good piece of bowling from Anya Shrubsole. She got one outside the edge of the bat the previous ball and made Haynes think she had to do something different. It got on her quicker than she thought and that was the start England needed.
Meg Lanning is Australia's number three. She averages 53.12 in 89 ODIs. Eeeek.
Haynes c Jones b Shrubsole 4 (Aus 13-1)
Gone! England have their first breakthrough. Rachael Haynes tries to climb into a shorter ball from Anya Shrubsole but only manages to sky a top edge. Amy Jones skips round to take the easiest of catches with the gloves.
England need early wickets and have their first.
Ah that is lovely from leftie Rachael Haynes. She punches Brunt back down the ground to get her first runs.
Solid stuff so far from Australia.

Batting with Rachel Haynes will help Alyssa Healy, who is a calm presence at the other end. It's good to see the extra slip in for England at the moment - you want to those attacking fields.
