Lovely shot from Heather Knight, just helped around the corner.

I'm not sure deep backward square leg fancied chasing that.

  2. Eng 95-3published at 24 overs

    Target 135

Knight is in complete control now. There are two fielders out legside, both in front of square, so she drags her sweep shot behind square to find the boundary.

England are just 40 runs from victory now.

  3. Eng 88-3published at 23 overs

    Target 135

A wry smile from Jones as she picks out mid-wicket with a well-struck pull shot. She has made finding the fielder an art form so far in this innings.

And, as if to prove the point, hits a lovely drive to end the over... straight to the extra cover fielder. Maiden for Goswami.

  4. Eng 88-3published at 22 overs

    Target 135

Knight looked very comfortable against the off-spin of Deepti but Jones is still trying to get herself in. She misses with a reverse sweep of her own but clips the last ball leg-side for one and will keep strike.

The worm shows England Women are 16 runs ahead of India Women. England Women are 88 for 3 after 22 overs. At the same stage India Women were 72 for 6.

Heather Knight must feel like she was due one. She kept finding that point fielder until now.

  6. Eng 86-3published at 21.2

    Target 135

Deepti Sharma comes on, Knight has a look at the first and then nails a reverse sweep to the boundary next ball. She's in the mood now!

  7. Eng 82-3published at 21 overs

    Target 135

Mithali Raj goes back to Goswami as India hunt for another wicket to keep their quickly fading hopes alive. No joy this time around, two from the over and England need another 53 to win.

  8. Eng 80-3published at 20 overs

    Target 135

Knight opens the face of the bat to Gayakwad and runs the ball down to third and despite a valiant chase from Deepti Sharma, her hand is in contact with the boundary cushion as she flicks the ball back - four more to the England captain.

Amy Jones got off the mark from her ninth ball earlier in the over, England cruising at the moment.

It's nice to see an England team that looks to be playing with a bit of freedom.

  10. Eng 74-3published at 19 overs

    Target 135

Knight adds a single to the boundary earlier in the over, the rhythm she was lacking earlier in the innings looks to be there now. That's good news, not only for this innings but the remainder of the tournament for England.

  11. Eng 73-3published at 18.2

    Target 135

Overpitched, wide and hammered away square by Heather Knight. A rare wayward delivery from Pooja Vastrakar and it's punished by the England skipper.

  12. Eng 69-3published at 18 overs

    Target 135

Maiden from Gayakwad to Amy Jones, who is happy to have a look and defend solidly. There is no rush for England, they're more than halfway to their target already.

The worm shows England Women are five runs ahead of India Women. England Women are 69 for 3 after 18 overs. At the same stage India Women were 64 for 5.

Erling L: Waking up 30 min ago and turning on BBC TMS I was not expecting India to be all out for 134. But it sounds like the England bowlers have been on fire today. Now for the batters to finish the job and get England's first win. Come on England.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 17 overs

    Sciver c Goswami b Vastrakar 45 (Eng 69-3)

Out of nowhere, India have a third wicket. Sciver tries to turn the ball legside, gets a leading edge and it is a dolly for Goswami at mid-wicket.

Sciver was looking so good and had powered the previous ball over wide mid-on for four.

  16. Eng 64-2published at 16.1 overs

    Target 135

Knight gets another drive through, slightly further in front of square, there is no fielder in the deep and the ball beats the fielder in a race to the boundary.

This is good from Rajeshwari Gayakwad. She is just mixing things up.

Heather Knight want to get a sweep away, but every time she does Gayakwad puts it up a little fuller.

  18. Eng 60-2published at 16 overs

    Target 135

Knight finally gets a square drive past the point fielder but there is a sweeper and she has to settle for a single. Good over from Gayakwad.
