    Target 135

Sciver finds the gap between the two boundary riders on the leg side perfectly with a sweep short of sorts, in front of square.

That brings up the fifty partnership and another boundary follows, run away past backward point. A nice way to go to drinks for England.

Dare I say it, everything is looking good for England at the moment.

  3. Eng 48-2published at 14 overs

    Target 135

Having missed out on a full toss a couple of balls earlier, Sciver climbs into a short ball from Vastrakar and bludgeons it for four through midwicket.

The all-rounder is having to do the bulk of the scoring with Knight still battling to find any sort of rhythm at the crease.

England are picking good options; they're good sweepers of the ball and don't really need to do anything else.

  7. Eng 43-2published at 13 overs

    Target 135

Sneh Rana comes into the attack and starts well, just two singles from the over. It is a sweep apiece for Knight and Sciver to get those runs.

How Nat Sciver is still batting remains something of a mystery. The ball came off her inside edge and thudded into the base of middle stump but somehow, the bails were unmoved...

When Nat Sciver hits a ball, it stays hit! She crunches a cut shot just in front of square but there is a fielder out sweeping, just a single.

Knight has nailed a number of square drives in this innings but is yet to get one past point and she ends the over with another. Just two from Vastrakar's over.

  10. Eng 39-2published at 11 overs

    Target 135

Sciver is on the sweep again to Gayakwad and gets the ball away fine. That's two more to the total. A dab just wide of slip brings Sciver two more before a further sweep shot goes quickly to deep backward square for a single.

Less than 100 required now for England.

Thanks, Thomas. Things do seem to have settled down for England after those two early wickets. Knight and Sciver are just the pair they'd want out there in this situation.

So with England starting to recover from the loss of those two early wickets it is time for me to take a break. I will leave you in the safe hands of Sam Drury.

  13. Eng 34-2published at 10 overs

There is a new bowler at the other end too as Pooja Vastrakar comes into the attack.

Heather Knight looks to the heavens in frustration. She plays two beautifully timed drives, but on both occasions the ball goes straight to point.

There is no turn in this wicket for Gayakwad at the minute.

Great shot from Nat Sciver. Rajeshwari Gayakwad drifts onto leg and Sciver sweeps round the corner for her third four of the innings.

Two balls later, Sciver is at it again!

It's another sweep, uppish this time, but there isn't a fielder near it as the ball disappears over the boundary.

England are starting to recover here.

England have lost six one-dayers in a row. They are the striker without a goal that just need one to go in off their backside.

    Great fielding from Harmanpreet Kaur.

That looked four all the way from Nat Sciver, but Harmanpreet dived full stretch at mid-on to save her side three runs.

A grunt of frustration from Goswami as the ball races the boundary. It was short, on the hips and the England captain made the most of the opportunity.
