South Africa have been involved in so many close games, you think one might go the other way.

  2. Eng 126-4published at 26 overs

The pattern of this innings continues with England getting themselves into promising positions, only to lose a wicket and hand the initiative back to South Africa.

Danni Wyatt is still there though and is joined in the middle by Sophia Dunkley.

We knew that was coming, it's been bubbling up for the last couple of overs. It's a poor shot from Amy Jones.

Thanks, Ffion. Not the ideal start to my stint from an England perspective!

Marizanne Kapp breaks a dangerous stand as a leading edge from Amy Jones loops into the leg side and Chloe Tryon does well to get across from mid-wicket and hold onto the catch.

    Wyatt 64, Jones 28

Wyatt and Jones are looking set now and ready to hit the accelerator. Wyatt lofts Klaas down the ground for three more before Mignon du Preez pulls off a stunning dive on the cover boundary to save another run.

Can South Africa make the crucial breakthrough? Here's Sam Drury to take you through the second half of England's innings.

England are starting to find a foothold but every time we have said this, they have lost a wicket.

    Wyatt 59, Jones 25

Sune Luus searches for a wicket by bringing Kapp back on. It doesn't quite pay off from the first over back.

That is the perfect cover drive, and she held the pose.

Amy Jones looks in good form. Another one threaded gloriously past cover for four runs.

A decent over from Masabata Klaas concedes just four.

Hard to tell who's on top at the moment, it's like both teams are just sizing each other up and waiting for something to happen. I'd probably say England are just edging it.

Here's how England lost their third wicket, that of Nat Sciver. Just look at those celebrations.

Jones plays that shot almost as well as anyone in the game. Glorious way to bring up the 100. That's about as good as it gets.

  14. Eng 104-3published at 22 overs

    Wyatt 58, Jones 17

There's a man in the crowd in batting gear on stilts and it's so creepy. He's going round talking to fans and it's fair to say if he came up to me as I was enjoying some cricket I'd be running to the other side of the ground.

Meanwhile Amy Jones drives beautifully for four past cover to bring up England's hundred, before a less convincing edge down to third man for another boundary.

  15. Eng 96-3published at 21 overs

Close! Danni Wyatt mistimes one, trying to go over the top of mid-off, and it just evades Sune Luus in that position.

Wyatt needs to be careful - there's no need to be reckless and gift a wicket away, especially when they're taking six an over off Tryon without putting any real effort in anyway.

The run-rate is good for England, it's just the old wickets. Every time they look set, they lose a wicket.

Khaka has been fabulous, she's having a great year.

  18. Eng 89-3published at 20 overs

Ayabonga Khaka's first over was a bit of a shocker, going for 12, but she's pulled it back brilliantly since and taken the wicket of England's captain.

    Just three from the over.

In the World Cup semi-final, Danni Wyatt has a half-century. She's been dropped twice but she's also struck some authoritative boundaries. With England teetering slightly, the opener is holding them together.
