Just for the avoidance of any doubt... There will NOT be a super over at the end of this game. If there is a draw or a tie the teams will be crowned as joint winners.

A draw was by far the most likely result when play resumed this morning, but I can't see that happening at all now. Surely?

Emu: NZ on to win this, but spin could play a huge part. Please let there be a super over to finish this off!

    Target 139

Devon Conway is off the mark. Mohammed Shami angles the ball towards his off stump and Conway nudges it down to long leg. Tom Latham looks rock solid - leaving when required with a solid defence. Patient start by the Black Caps.

New Zealand will want a nice little opening stand of 40 or 50, but a couple of quick wickets and there will be some nerves, that's for sure.

India have got to get Ashwin on quickly if he's going to have a role to play here. There's no point him on when there's only 20 or 30 needed to win.

New Zealand need 139 runs to win with a minimum of 53 overs left. They must be heavy favourites, but I wouldn't completely write India off here. I have a sneaky feeling their spinners might have a part to play here.

Chris Adams: I’ve nothing against India but I’d love New Zealand to win this. For their relative lack of resources and clout in the game, it would be some achievement. And shake up international cricket on and off the pitch so much more than if India win it.

Bumrah c Latham b Southee 0 (Ind 170 all out)

India all out for 170. India's tail fail to put up any kind of fight as No.11 Jasprit Bumrah lasts just four balls. The India bowler looks to defend a ball from Tim Southee which he edges into the hands of Tom Latham at second slip. Two wickets in the over for Southee gives him 4-48.
