Hero for the match Hayley Matthews, speaking to Sky Sports, said: "We had a simple plan going out there. We knew if we had some good partnerships we could win. They have had to change their field and bowl different lines and I think Georgia Redmayne batted superbly to take the pressure off me.

"My form is due to having some cricket before I got here. I have tried to bring that over. I am playing well with what I've been working on the last few months.

"Every game in The Hundred we have played the standards have been high. It's shown how much the women's game is growing. The girls did a great job and we are hoping to carry the momentum forward now."

If I was bowling now, I'd set myself a challenge that somebody else has the winning runs hit off them, and not me.

Laura Jackson, the only wicket-taker for the Originals, back into the attack. Hayley Matthews goes for that trademark lofted drive and pings it at Emma Lamb, who leaps with her arms up but she spills the chance.

A ball later and a huge biff to cow corner from the left-handed Georgia Redmayne adds four more.

  16. Fire 100-1published at 28 balls left

Georgia Redmayne offers a glimmer of chance with a miscued hoik across the line. The ball plonks into a space between three fielders.

Economical stuff from Sophie Ecclestone, but once again Hayley Matthews and Georgia Redmayne are just happy to just go at a run a ball and nudge her into the gaps. These two look well set to bring it home for the Fire.
