  2. Originals 35-2published at 37 balls

Hannah Baker, aged 17, is thrown the ball and the young leggie nervously sends down a wide which races down to the boundary. "Come on Hannah" encourages Sarah Taylor behind the stumps.

A couple of balls later Harmanpreet Kaur latches on to a full toss and sweeps the teenager for four.

  3. Rainbow laces at The Hundredpublished at 11:23 British Summer Time 31 July 2021

If you look closely, the players in all of the matches this weekend in The Hundred and One-Day Cup are wearing rainbow laces.

The ECB say the initiative is to pass on the message that cricket is a game for everyone, and the LGBTQ+ community should feel welcome and accepted in the sport at all levels.

Towards the end of my career, in the powerplay, I'd look at a batter's wagon wheel and place my fielders where they scored most of their runs. I'd go away from convention which says you should have a deep square leg etc.

  9. Originals 21-2published at 25 balls

Welsh Fire are on top here. Another tight set from Piepa Cleary to end the powerplay.

She lacked a bit of intent, which built some pressure and probably led to the wicket.

An attempted slog sweep from Emma Lamb to Bryony Smith is top edged straight into the hands of Hannah Baker who grabs well at short fine leg.

It's all a little cautious since that run out. Manchester have gone into their shells.

  15. Originals 12-1published at 10 balls

A tidy start from Bryony Smith, with just two singles off the over. The Originals a little more circumspect after the chaos of that early wicket.

  16. Originals 10-1published at 5 balls

An eventful first 'over'. Sophie Luff turns to spin next up in the form of Bryony Smith.

You can hit two balls for glorious fours, but the photographer, if they get it right, might only have a photo of your innings showing you on your back just before being run out.

She will be seething, after timing the first two balls of the fixture nicely. She had a real early platform - she'll be devastated.

  20. wicket

    Lee run out (Taylor) 8

Well it was a great start... Lizelle Lee spoons one over the wicketkeeper's head and in the confusion sets off, but is sent back by Emma Lamb and ice-cool Sarah Taylor reacts to throw the ball into the stumps where Georgia Redmayne whips off the bails.
