Kaur c Redmayne b Griffiths 26 (Originals 80-4)
Harmanpreet Kaur's ponderous innings comes to an end. She squirts a cut straight into the hands of Georgia Redmayne at point to give Alex Griffiths a wicket.
Alex Griffiths is thrown the ball and the Originals pair seem happy to milk her for singles either side of the wicket with four singles taken.
Piepa Clearly slips down the leg side again but Mignon du Preez misses out. Harmanpreet Kaur slogs the ball to cow corner of the last ball of that set, but there's a fielder stationed to cut off the boundary.
Piepa Cleary strays on to Harmanpreet Kaur's pads and the Originals batter just helps the ball on its way to the boundary.

Guest commentary from partners might actually add to the game, you know.
We're just into a strategic timeout called by Welsh Fire skipper Sophie Luff.

I'm keen to know if Mignon's husband is keen to get into commentating, or if that's his thing - when he's on a flight, he goes and sits down next to the captain etc...

I tell this story a lot, but I was commentating on a women's match in South Africa once where Mignon du Preez was batting. Her husband was at the back of the commentary box and suddenly came and sat beside me, picked up some headphones and a microphone and started to commentate. He was quite good, actually.
Mignon du Preez has brought the Manchester Originals innings to life. She whips Hayley Matthews through mid-wicket with a delicious pull shot. Perfect timing.

I do think if these two are together at the end, Manchester will get a competitive total.

This is starting to look like an encouraging partnership now.
Manchester Originals two overseas players together in Mignon du Preez and Harmanpreet Kaur and there now seems to be a bit more aggression.
Du Preez sweeps Nicole Harvey beautifully square of the wicket to get the scoreboard moving along.
Boyce c Redmayne b Hennessy 13
Oh dear. A ball later and Georgie Boyce is on her way back, after leading edge is caught with a fine diving catch by Georgia Redmayne off Georgia Hennessy.
"Catch it" shouts Sarah Taylor as delivery from Georgia Hennessy spoons up off the splice of Harmanpreet Kaur's bat, but drops safe in the outfield.
Georgie Boyce manages to find the boundary a couple of balls later with a slog over long-on.
A much-needed boundary.

They're struggling to time it. Everyone is clothing it.

We're not quite at the stage for Manchester where everything must go...
Hayley Matthews with her languid approach to the crease, is fairly economical although the Originals do show a bit more intent without finding the boundary. Five taken from that set.
The set ends with an lbw appeal as Nicole Harvey strikes Georgia Boyce on the pad, but there was a chunk of bat on that.
