That was wide from Rabada and Lewis had the chance to free his hands and pummel it away.
That's more like it - Evin Lewis swats Rabada over cover for four runs. Maybe it is all in the bat, after all.

Something will happen. The last thing West Indies want is to come out of this powerplay at 20-1.
Well that was predictable!
Lendl Simmons comes down the pitch and takes a huge swipe at Rabada. The ball is up in the air ... but out of reach of the fielders on the off side.
Evin Lewis swaps bats. Will this make a difference?

A maiden! In the powerplay!
This is very unlike the West Indies we've come to know in T20 cricket.
Pressure building. Lewis connects well with a sweep shot but it's straight to the fielder at square leg.

This has been a cautious start that might have a lot to do with what happened the other night for West Indies.
South Africa have started nicely here, not allowing the West Indies batters to free their arms.
Just two from Rabada's over. Is there a big shot coming?
Here's Kagiso Rabada with the second over.

It was a bad weekend...

Carlos, you are nothing if not superstitious - and a complete child. You've demanded Alex swap her chair with you because you were sat in the same seat that you were when West Indies were bowled out for 55.
A tidy start from Aiden Markram, his first over conceding just four singles. West Indies have calmed themselves down since the almost run out from the first ball, thankfully - the other three singles were slightly more sensible.

That was never a single!

Had it hit, he would have been gone! Carlos, to my left, can't quite believe what he's seen...
There's almost a run out first ball as Lewis calls his opening partner Simmons through for a scampered single.
That would not have been ideal ...
The anthems are done, Evin Lewis and Lendl Simmons are in the middle for the West Indies and Aiden Markram is going to bowl the first over for South Africa.

There's only one way to respond for West Indies, and that is by being positive. They didn't have any intent to score against England - they went block, block, block, then played irrational shots to decent balls.
