It has been a very good start for West Indies. It is probably the first time the shackles have been broken and there has been some momentum in the powerplay.

  2. WI 35-1published at 3 overs

Nicholas Pooran is the new batter and quickly gets off the mark with a boundary.

Cummins then smacks Pooran's pads but the appeal is turned down - looks to be going down leg too so Australia wisely decline the review.

If that is Chris Gayle's final international innings he finishes with 19,593 runs in all formats. He has 553 international sixes and that is unsurprisingly a record in all formats in international cricket.

It is like Asghar Afghan. It is about saving one legacy and potentially starting another.

That looks like it might be it for Chris Gayle. He is walking off like he got a hundred. He's got a big smile on his face.

Chris Gayle takes off his helmet (but not his shades) and holds his bat into the air towards the crowd as his team-mates congratulate him as he comes off the field. Is this the last we see of Gayle in a West Indies shirt?

That was in the slot as well. The only thing he did wrong was edge it rather than getting it from the middle.

He was enjoying himself but there wasn't much foot movement there.

That is the most Josh Hazlewood has conceded in his first over of a T20 - both international and domestic - in his career.

Mr Cool! I always thought it was a fashion statement but him and Kraigg Brathwaite both say it helps with the glare in certain conditions.

  14. WI 24-0published at 2 overs

Hazlewood was given the treatment there. A brilliant start to the powerplay for West Indies.

Josh Hazlewood is one of the best bowlers in the world and has had a good time in T20 cricket but there has been no respect for him in this over.

    WI 23-0published at 1.5 overs

A single brings Chris Gayle on strike - and here we go!

Gayle - batting in sunglasses - latches on to another short Hazlewood delivery and powers a pull shot through the onside for six.

That was like a golf ball going towards the hole, it just had enough to drop. He rather plinked it.

  18. WI 16-0published at 1.3 overs

Evin Lewis goes for the drive next up and the ball comes off the inside edge and flies square into the onside for four.

Lewis then drives back over Hazelwood's head and through long-on another boundary.

    Three fours in a row!

That was a wonderful shot. He is so strong on the pull shot. Josh Hazlewood dropped short and Lewis just said "I'll have a bit of that".

  20. WI 8-0published at 1.1 overs

Hazelwood drops too short first up and Evin Lewis is on it in a flash, pulling the ball through mid-wicket for a one-bounce four.
