  2. WI 87-4published at 12 overs

To add insult to injury Adam Zampa ends the over with a full and wide delivery that Pollard drives through point for four.

To be fair, that did not deserve a wicket. It was rank full toss and deserved to be hit for six.

  4. dropped catch

Pollard dropped on threepublished at 11.1 overs

Adam Zampa spills off his own bowling!

It's a full toss that Kieron Pollard looks to dispatch back over the bowlers head but it comes off the end of his bat and flies towards Zampa, but the Aussie spinner can only parry the ball and is unable to snatch on the rebound tumbling backwards.

  5. WI 81-4published at 11 overs

There's a strangled appeal from Mitchell Starc as an off-cutter strikes Kieron Pollard on the back pad.

Nothing given - there may have been a bit of bat on it. After burning one review from Mitchell Marsh a few overs ago I don't think they will risk another there.

Starc ends the over with a fine inswinging yorker that Shimron Hetmyer just about gets the toe end of his bat on for a quickly run two.

West Indies came out with nothing to lose today but they have got plenty to play for with the anomaly of finishing in the top eight in the world.

It looked at one stage like West Indies would run away with it but Australia have fought their way back into the contest.

  7. WI 73-4published at 10 overs

Kieron Pollard is the new batter looking relaxed in a wide-brimmed sunhat and he gets off the mark with a single.

West Indies reach 73-4 at the halfway stage.

Mitchell Starc is coming back into the attack for Australia.

That is a fair indication I would say.

Let's hope he keeps his boots and clothes so he can field.

I think we can assume Chris Gayle is retiring because he is giving his kit away. It is like a car boot sale.

He is signing his kit and then throwing it into the ground. It is very generous.

After being smashed for 19 in his first over Josh Hazlewood responded by dismissing Nicholas Pooran and Roston Chase in his second.

Adam Zampa has taken wickets but he has also come on and controlled the run-rate. He has done a fabulous job for his skipper.

Steve Smith made a lot of ground up there and Adam Zampa's good form continues.

    That is a great catch.

Adam Zampa got the wrong un to pitch perfectly and Evin Lewis didn't pick it at all. It hit the outside of the bat as a result.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 9.3 overs

    Lewis c Smith B Zampa 29 (WI 70-4)

Adam Zampa strikes and it's down to a wonderful catch by Steve Smith.

Evin Lewis looks to haul it towards deep mid-wicket but it comes off a thick edge and flies high into the sky, with Smith running in from the boundary and diving forward to pouch.

I thought we were in for an entertaining innings when West Indies took Josh Hazlewood's over apart, but Australia have fought back well with those three wickets. West Indies are having to rebuild and it is evenly poised at this stage.

Normally at this stage we're trying to calculate how England can't be knocked out but it has been so different this time. They have played so well.

  18. WI 64-3published at 8.4 overs

Some tidy stuff from Mitchell Marsh but his over is ruined by a mis-field at long-off as a cross-batted drive from Shimron Hetmyer is fumbled over the boundary for four by David Warner.

Peter: I'm afraid Mr Gayle is looking more and more like a parody of his old self - what was that exit all about? "I scored 15 and won the game" ... bit of a joke.

He would have been run out by miles. My word! Evin Lewis was barely even in the frame. He had given it up.
