He's done it again! Oh that is beautiful. It seems so easy but that is one of the most difficult shots to play.

  2. Eng 78-2published at 11 overs

Four more! This is almost as good as the first shot as Malan drives on the up and finds the gap. The batter stands still and admires his shot.

To add insult to his injury, Phillips goes for 11 from his over.

    Beautiful shot.

  4. Eng 71-2published at 10.2 overs

Malan has looked solid so far as he backs up to the leg side and plays a superb drive through the off side. Timed like a Swiss watchmaker. Classy.

  5. Eng 67-2published at 10.1 overs

Having seen the replay, Phillips collided with the advertising boards and was almost flung over. His fingers are taped up by the physio.

But Phillips is 'ard as nails. Fresh from his injury, he's on to bowl. And he almost takes a wicket with his first ball, Moeen Ali miscuing a drive which lands short of mid-off.

Listening to TMS from Acropolis in Athens. Not sure why my signal keeps breaking, I'm on the biggest hill in the city! Anyway, now hoping for a monumental performance from England's middle order.

Oh dear! Phillips threw himself at that and he went catapulting over the boundary and into the photographers. He's called for some help.

    I think he's dislocated something...

Now then, this is a beautiful shot from Dawid Malan. He's given some width and drives Neesham for four glorious runs.

Glenn Phillips, diving in the deep, has done some damage to his left hand as he attempts to stop the boundary. He calls for the physio as the players take drinks.

That carried. It would have been a good catch, moving away to his left, and Conway has smacked his gloves in frustration.

  11. dropped catch

Malan dropped on 10published at 9.3 overs

A tough chance but a chance nevertheless.

New bowler Jimmy Neesham tempts Malan into playing outside the off stump. It takes a thick edge and keeper Conway, diving to his left, is unable to cleanly get his gloves to it.

England reached 37-0 in five overs before Jonny Bairstow departed...

  13. Eng 60-2published at 9 overs

Dawid Malan is forward and plays a drive on the up and through extra cover for four as Trent Boult falls short with a full-length dive in the deep.

There was a long conversation between Jos Buttler and Eoin Morgan as Buttler got to the boundary edge.

Moeen Ali is the new batter. We've seen what he can do in the UAE with some big-hitting in the IPL recently.

That over from Santner built pressure and you could feel these two batters were itching.

    Buttler lbw b Sodhi 29 (Eng 53-2)

Three reds. Jos Buttler trudges off. It was a good length and straight from Sodhi.

Buttler didn't really get going in his 24-ball innings. England will now need to rely on their middle order. The danger man has gone but there is plenty of explosive batting to come.

He's going to review it - I think he has to, but the delay it's taken him to do it suggests he hasn't hit it. Buttler looks a bit fed up.
