    Malan has looked solid so far as he backs up to the leg side and plays a superb drive through the off side. Timed like a Swiss watchmaker. Classy.

    Having seen the replay, Phillips collided with the advertising boards and was almost flung over. His fingers are taped up by the physio.

    But Phillips is 'ard as nails. Fresh from his injury, he's on to bowl. And he almost takes a wicket with his first ball, Moeen Ali miscuing a drive which lands short of mid-off.

    Now then, this is a beautiful shot from Dawid Malan. He's given some width and drives Neesham for four glorious runs.

    Glenn Phillips, diving in the deep, has done some damage to his left hand as he attempts to stop the boundary. He calls for the physio as the players take drinks.

    Buttler didn't really get going in his 24-ball innings. England will now need to rely on their middle order. The danger man has gone but there is plenty of explosive batting to come.
