He went for one big hit too many. It was certainly entertaining.

Bracewell c Broad b Potts 25 (NZ 204-6)
Michael Bracewell's entertaining knock comes to an end and Matthew Potts has his second wicket of the innings.
Bracewell had hit it pretty well so far, but this time he doesn't get hold of it and chips it up into the hands of Stuart Broad at mid-on.

Michael Bracewell is playing like Brian Lara here. What an innings.
Brute power to an elegant, classy pull through square leg. Four more to Bracewell.

Michael Bracewell has come out and played like Ben Stokes did yesterday. It is remarkable really.
He's playing with absolute freedom.
It has got England thinking. The slip is out and we've gone to a deep point. It's the first indication that Stokes is a bit worried about what New Zealand have got on the board here.
Matthew Potts returns to the attack and there's no letting up from Michael Bracewell. He jigs down the track and swats it back down the ground for a four. It's smashed like a tennis forehand.
The 200 is up. The lead is 214.

It is a really clever decision to let people in for free tomorrow. It's good for the game.
I'd be coming if I lived locally. It could be a belter.
Lead by 210
Long-on comes up from mid-on. The temptation is there for Daryl Mitchell. Will he look to heave Jack Leach into the leg side?
No. He is quite content in defending.

He's doing what Ben Stokes did yesterday! What a shot.
I like this Michael Bracewell. New Zealand were just sat there doing nothing. If they get another 100 runs they are the only side who can win probably.

England should just be bowling normally at him.
He'll be pretty disappointed if he gets out to this.
Leach isn't the only England bowler being targeted. Michael Bracewell pulls Stuart Broad well into the stands.
Bracewell now has 16 from nine. He's going for it.

It feels like someone is going to win this game, but if it gets to 270 or 280 that is a lot of runs on the last day.

I don't know much Kyle Jamieson's back problem will affect this batting with Tim Southee likes to play his strokes, Matt Henry is a decent batter and Trent Boult is one of the most extravagant number 11s.
The lead is now over 200 but England will love to get at least a couple more wickets tonight. New Zealand have a long tail. Kyle Jamieson is the next man in, but has not bowled today after leaving the field with a back injury last night.

Michael Gough has done well to get out of the way of that.

Michael Bracewell has hammered that! What a shot that is.
Lead by 201
Jack Leach, once again, is targeted by the New Zealand batters. Bracewell smashes back past the bowler, almost taking out the umpire, for four.
He then hoicks Leach over mid-on for another boundary. Relentless.

Jonathan: Surely New Zealand will declare with a lead of 250 tomorrow and ask England to chase? It's the only way New Zealand have of winning and it suits England as well.
Lead by 192
Michael Bracewell is the new man in, and off the mark with a single.
Having just seen his pal dismissed with a misjudged pull shot, Mitchell almost does the same. Centimetres away from his glove as Foakes gathers down the leg side.

England will be after another couple of wickets tonight and a chase of 250.
That will be a good game of cricket.
