    Hello.

A bit of turn and bounce for Jack Leach as he aims for the footmarks outside Michael Bracewell's off stump.

England respond by bringing in three close catchers.

Bracewell responds in turn by going for the slog-sweep but it can only pick out the boundary rider for a single.

This seems to be the kind of pitch where if you drive length, you'll get caught out. It looks as though it is just grabbing a little bit, not skidding on, with no deal of pace in it.

  4. NZ 260-6published at 105 overs

England try their luck with the ball again but Marais Erasmus again says no.

Stuart Broad shows his frustration at the end of the over by slamming the ball into the ground.

    He isn't happy.

It's not been a good day in the field for England so far this morning. This is their second drop of the day as Michael Bracewell survives.

Sounds like a normal day on the Western Terrace to me....

On the Western Terrace I can see seven men dressed as, I think, Snow White, plus four Teletubbies, Hulk Hogan and some jockeys.

Tom Blundell is the only wicket to fall this morning, but he was once again impressive as passed 50 for the third time this series.

  11. NZ 256-6published at 103 overs

Daryl Mitchell has only added five runs to his total this morning, but he is very watchful as he sees out another Stuart Broad maiden.

He has already offered one chance this morning that was put down. He doesn't look in the mood to offer another.

Matthew Potts' figures this morning: 5-4-2-1. The two runs came from the Ben Foakes dropped catch.

  13. NZ 256-6published at 102 overs

Good comeback from Jack Leach as he looks to get a touch of turn, tempting Michael Bracewell forward.

    Encouragement for the Somerset left-armer.

  14. NZ 256-6published at 101.3 overs

Michael Bracewell gives himself a couple of sighters before going for the slog-sweep and heaving the ball from off to on for four runs.

George Speakman: From 25 overs on a batter friendly pitch, Potts has gone for just 30 runs and looked threatening too. Great bowling and a great addition to the side.

  16. NZ 252-6published at 101 overs

It looks grey and muggy at Headingley as Stuart Broad bowls a maiden.

Matthew Potts' impressive spell is at an end, Jack Leach has the ball in hand.

The lack of DRS was unfair to New Zealand. When this happens, he should retire hurt, so to speak, and a review should take place at fall of next batter when DRS is up and running. If he's not out, he should resume his innings.

Here is the first wicket to fall this morning as Matthew Potts traps Tom Blundell lbw, with the New Zealand batter unable to review as DRS was down at the time.

  19. NZ 252-6published at 100 overs

That's better from Ben Foakes, who gets across to his left to prevent a wide delivery from Matthew Potts escaping down to fine leg.

Potts then saves a certain boundary off his own bowling to end the over. He has been superb this morning.

Here is the first catch England dropped this morning. Ben Foakes diving across Joe Root's path and dropping Daryl Mitchell.
