It was more of a collapse than a dive from Bairstow. It's a chance England would really expect to be taken.

Bairstow went for it with his right hand and it just ricocheted off. That's the second catch England have dropped this morning.
Not again!
Stuart Broad draws the edge from Michael Bracewell but Jonny Bairstow drops the catch at third slip.
Shot!
What a way to get off the mark. Michael Bracewell playing a textbook straight drive down the ground for four that also brings up the New Zealand 250.

Will Blundell be invited back out if it turns out that was missing?

Stuart Broad IS into the attack as the Barmy Army serenade him with a rendition of happy birthday.

DRS is back!
What a leave that was from Michael Bracewell. He shoulders arms from one that jags back in and fizzes over his off stump.
Another maiden from the impressive Matthew Potts.
Stuart Broad looks to be warming up. Is he about to enter the attack or is he just sending his skipper a not-so-subtle hint?

I'm just nipping round the ground to see if it was birthday boy Stuart Broad who pulled the power cable out of the DRS van before that Blundell wicket…

Rob George: Can the umpires put DRS through those rings? That's more out of shape than the balls in this match.
Alex Hartley
England World Cup winner on BBC Test Match Special
I'm a bit on the fence about this. I like Overton as an option and he has bowled well, but he's bowled too short. He hasn't threatened the outside edge. Potts has been brilliant and he has pitched the ball up.

Bob Hawkins: Has anyone tried turning DRS off & back on?
England try to get the ball changed again. Marais Erasmus says no again.
Michael Bracewell is the new batter and thinks he gets off the mark with a nudge off his pads but it is given as leg byes.

I was talking to someone about the red balls the other day. All of them are handmade and hand-stitched. They've brought somebody new in to stitch the balls and he doesn't stitch them tight enough. It means moisture get into the balls, so they get soft and lose their shape.
Here we go again. England are trying to get the ball changed. Marais Erasmus isn't having any of it though.

With DRS down, what a feeling it is when the umpire's finger goes up. Didn't realise how much I'd missed it!

We've just heard that DRS is indeed down. The van has a power issue, which is being worked on.
Oh dear.
Well Matthew Potts will argue he was due some luck, but it certainly explains why Tom Blundell looked so frustrated as he made his way off the field.
The latest of a growing collection of unusual incidents in this Test match.

I think that's going down, you know...

Oh, that explains everything....
