Not a vintage night for Jason Roy...
A leg bye gets Moeen Ali on strike. He throws the kitchen sink at a fuller one from Yuzvendra Chahal and a top edge takes it over the wicketkeeper's head for four.
As a wise Aussie sage once told me in a club game. "It's not how, mate. It's how many."
Yuzvendra Chahal ready to get us back under way. Harry Brook on strike.
A brief moment of respite for everyone to gather their thoughts over some liquid refreshment.
Harry Brook gets a freebie from Axar Patel first up and with good use of the feet he biffs it for four through the covers. But England are only able to pick up singles off the rest of the over. Not quite enough at this stage.
England need 127 off 60 balls.
Liam Livingstone's dismissal from moments ago.

That is a proper T20 shot.
Spikey-haired leggie Yuzvendra Chahal tosses one up to Moeen Ali but it's in the arc of the England left-hander who, with tremendous bat speed, pings it over the boundary for six.
England still need snookers.
Harry Brook sticks up the periscope to get an edge on a short one from Harshal Patel which flies up over wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik's head. Karthik sets off in hot pursuit, but gets himself in a tangle and fumbles the catch.

Moeen Ali has just caressed it. He doesn't try and overhit the ball. Brilliant timing.
Beautiful clean hitting from Moeen Ali, as he cover drives Harshal Patel to the fence.
Moeen knows that's four from the moment it left the bat. He holds the pose, and turns to remark his guard. Down to business.
Dawid Malan actually looked okay until this.
Back-to-back boundaries for Harry Brook off Hardik Pandaya as he starts to find some rhythm. The first was a lovely opening of the face down to the boundary, then Brook slaps Hardik back down the ground for six.

It's been a tortuous knock from Jason Roy. England in all sorts of trouble.
Roy c Patel b Pandya 4
And he's on his way. Jason Roy knew he start throwing the bat at a few, and ends up slicing Hardik Pandaya down to the fielder at deep third - Harshal Patel - who takes the catch.
England facing an uphill battle to get back into the contest.
Jason Roy is four off 15 balls. FOUR! India have bowled quite brilliantly.

Neil Leverett: Given the huge strides England have made under BazBall in Test cricket, it would be no shock to see the limited-overs side now inexplicably go to pot. We can’t be good at both forms of the game, we all know this. It’s the lay of the land.

India are still making this ball talk. It's arcing both ways. You wouldn't anticipate that six overs into a T20 match but that's down to the skill of the bowlers.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has the wood over England at the moment.
Jason Roy reluctantly commits to a drive off Bhuvneshwar and picks up a single off the penultimate delivery. Harry Brook is then sliced in two by the India seamer.
Livingstone c Karthik b Pandya 0 (Eng 29-3)
Liam Livingstone with a paddle shot to Hardik Pandaya which goes horribly wrong as he gloves it tamely to the wicketkeeper.
Livingstone went looking for that. He was trying to get England going with a bit of innovation but ends up with egg on his face.
Said I was looking forward to seeing Harry Brook, but not quite this early in England's innings.
