Jos Buttler is really good at reading the game and making tactical decisions. However, this England team are pretty much on autopilot. He doesn't need to reinvent the wheel.
There's a stifled appeal from from Reece Topley as he looks to shape one into Rohit Sharma's pads. Nothing give though, and Sharma flicks the final ball of the over into the on-side to maintain India's momentum.

It will be a runfest with the makeup of the two teams. The power England have and the exciting talent India have. The outfield looks like it will race away and the pitch looks good.
Rohit Sharma plays the ball into the onside for another single, with Ishan Kishan cutting square for two to complete a decent first over for India.

This is the new approach from Rohit Sharma. He used to be someone who took his time initially then looked play shots, now it's bang and have a go first over.
Rohit Sharma nudges the first ball just backward of point to get India off the mark. Left-hander Ishan Kishan repeats the trick with the next delivery.
Sharma then decides to step things up, striding forward and slapping Curran wide of mid-off for the first boundary of the innings. Good shot.
Sam Curran has the ball in hand for England. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan will open the batting for India.

I think with how settled the team is and the way they have been able to identify talent it should be an easy transition. Knowing Jos as I do he is so astute at breaking down and managing games of cricket. He doesn't have to rewrite the script and will be happy to roll on the back of what Eoin Morgan achieved just with his own spin.

I think it's noticeable that death bowling has been discussed in the media recently. England need to nail that in the next few weeks. They need to know who their bankers are at the death heading into the T20 World Cup.
