Watched the super over on a phone in the dining hall of the Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. Americans were befuddled when I started running around and whooping. A family visiting from New Zealand heard the noise, and came over to congratulate us - magnanimous as their team.

  4. Eng 213-7published at 43 overs

Good over from Mohammed Shami, restricting England to just two singles and a wide.

Can England muster up 250? You'd feel that is the minimum they need.

What an innings from Moeen Ali. An innings of substance. When England were struggling, Moeen was there.

Chahal picks up another wicket. He's got four. The partnership has gone. It was England's best so far. Another catch in the deep.

    Boooo.

Moeen Ali looks to slog-sweep Yuzvendra Chahal and it makes a gorgeous sound off the bat and the whole office goes "oooh" in unison at what we think is a lovely shot, but it's a long way to the mid-wicket boundary on that side.

As a result Ravindra Jadeja is able to get round and take a relatively simple catch.

India needed that breakthrough. That could really allow them to restrict England.

Brilliant comeback from Jasprit Bumrah, conceding just a single, pushed out to deep point, from the rest of the over.

With nine overs left, can England get up to 270?

    Short. Pulled. Six.

Don't bowl there to Moeen Ali.

    Oh! Almost sensational.

David Willey looks to pull away but shanks towards mid-on. Hardik Pandya flings himself across and at full stretch the ball doesn't rest in his left hand and the England left hander gets another life.

  14. Eng 199-6published at 39.3 overs

    Four more.

David Willey has swung so hard at this he is having to rub his shoulder better after.

A thick edge runs away though and that will help with the pain.

It brings up the 50 partnership too.

I'm not sure the short balls work terribly well here. With the boundaries being so small, these balls are giving away a lot of runs.

  16. Eng 194-6published at 39 overs

Jasprit Bumrah returns for India and he goes short.

David Willey takes it on and a top edge runs away for another boundary.

He's made a useful 20 now. This partnership is worth 46. It is slowly dragging England up to some sort of score.

Moeen is adding some very useful runs here. He's not trying to hit it too hard. Just helping it around.

    Four more.

Moeen Ali gets low and slog-sweeps Yuzvendra Chahal away to the square-leg boundary.

He's playing a nice little hand at the moment.

    Six more!

Prasidh Krishna goes round the wicket to David Willey, but strays down the leg side and England's left hander just helps it on its way and over the rope.

Could this over be the momentum swing?
