Test side good, ODI side not so good, what's happened?
Matthew, Richmond
Buttler 9, Moeen 1
Almost five! Jos Buttler chips a drive agonisingly short of mid-off where Axar Patel, another India sub fielder, is charging in.
Buttler is looks to be wandering around Oldham in search of the middle of his bat at the moment.
Hardik Pandya has 2-2 from three overs with two maidens.
Jason Roy and Ben Stokes had just settled things after the two wickets in the second over...
England have promoted Moeen Ali up the order, saving Liam Livingstone for later on. That seems very sensible to me.
Ebony Rainford-Brent
Former England batter on Test Match Special
That was a really smart bit of bowling. Hardik Pandya knew Ben Stokes was going to come down the wicket, but the ball held up so much he tried to pull out of the shot.
England are in a little bit of trouble here. It is going at a pace you don't expect to see in a one-day game. We have lots of runs and lots of wickets. It is all happening.
Stokes c&b Pandya 27 (Eng 74-4)
England are right in the mire now as Ben Stokes becomes the fourth batter to fall. Down the pitch he comes again but Hardik Pandya's bouncer is a good one. Stokes gets in a tangle and ends up offering the simplest of return catches.
India's fans are jubilant.
Stokes 27, Buttler 4
Buttler grins and holds up a hand to say "my bad" after Stokes sends the England skipper back as he searched for a single. It was Ravindra Jadeja too, not a man to mess with.
Looking at the replays that may have been out with a direct hit.
Andy Zaltzman
BBC Test Match Special statistician
This is Jos Buttler's 128th ODI innings and this is the longest it has taken to get off the mark. Eight dot balls before his first run.
Stokes 26, Buttler 1
Hardik Pandya sneezes into a towel as he runs through another impressive over. Hayfever is a pain isn't it, Dickers?
Pandya has only conceded two runs from his two overs. It takes Jos Buttler eight deliveries to get off the mark up against this tidy stuff.
Another heart-in-mouth moment as Jos Buttler drives scarily close to Virat Kohli at short extra cover. Kohli would make a great stage actor. He's so performative in everything he does.

Jos Buttler is in a lot earlier than he'd have liked.
That's 10 frantic overs gone.
James Anderson
England bowler on Test Match Special
Jason Roy looks devastated, he is trudging off the field. It wasn't quite short enough to play the pull shot, he was reaching for it a little bit and he gets the top edge.
You can see how devastated Roy is. He was looking in such good touch.
Roy c Pant b Hardik 41 (Eng 66-3)
We can all blame Dave for this one. He had looked so good but now is dragging himself from the field at the speed of a sleepy snail.
He has tried to pull Hardik Pandya off a length but gets a top-edge. The ball goes a mile in the air and is snaffled calmly by Rishabh Pant.

Dave Stott: Death, taxes, Jason Roy returning with a slew of runs after a slight slump. He's majestic when he's in this mood.
Roy 41, Stokes 24
Seven runs come from Prasidh's first over with three singles after that wristy four.
Roy has 41 from 26 balls. Speedy stuff.
Hardik is coming into the attack.
Jason Roy's wrists make me wince somehow. Just how he has managed to flick a 90mph bowler from outside off over mid-wicket's head for four I have very little idea.
James Anderson
England bowler on Test Match Special
It has been a good recovery by England after the loss of those two early wickets. That can sometimes set the nerves going in the dressing room but these two have settled things down, put away the bad balls and not taken any major risks.
India's lanky fast bowler Prasidh Krishna is coming on.
Roy 35, Stokes 23
Mohammed Siraj started really well with that double-wicket maiden (see below) but he's bowling too short now, particularly to Roy. The England opener has plenty of time to swipe the ball to the fence. Roy has six fours from the 21 deliveries he has faced.
