Bairstow b Pretorius 28 (Eng 62-4)
Oh, England are in deep, deep trouble.
Jonny Bairstow whips away a boundary, but Dwaine Pretorius gets immediate revenge.
The England opener looks to repeat the shot but is bowled through bat and pad and it smashes into the top of middle stump.
England aren't going to get bowled out within 29 overs, surely?

Root has come down the pitch and played a half pull shot but wasn't committed to the shot as he needed to be.
The moment it left the bat, his shoulders dropped. He knew and it was a simple catch.

Root absolutely skied it with a top-edge and De Kock was in position nice and early to take the catch.
Root c De Kock b Pretorius 1 (Eng 58-3)
England are in trouble again.
Joe Root comes down the pitch and tries to flick into the leg side but a leading edge goes straight up in the air.
The former Test captain knows immediately. He slumps his shoulders, accepting of his downfall.
Quinton de Kock ushers everyone out of the way and takes a simple catch.
South Africa are into England's all-rounders/finishers already.

We've had that wonderful scene where everyone is waiting for the game to start. Some sat in their seats for hours, others finding other ways to pass the time - then there is a mad dash when there is a restart time.
James Anderson
England bowler on Test Match Special
I think that might have been going down the leg-side. Not much spin there for Maharaj.
Oh! What's happened here? Joe Root looks to reverse lap Keshav Maharaj, but does so straight into the grille on Quinton de Kock behind the stumps. England get through for a single.
There's an appeal for lbw against Jonny Bairstow but it would have been straying down the leg side and the tourists don't even entertain a review.
Bairstow has 23 off 24 balls so far. He hasn't looked that fluid so far.
James Anderson
England bowler on Test Match Special
No, I'm not.
I think sometimes the umpires go on the reaction of the fielders. Just let the third umpire, who has got all the camera angles, make the decision.

Are you not a fan of the soft signal?
James Anderson
England bowler on Test Match Special
A good start from England. You'd take two wickets down in the powerplay in a T20 and this is just a slight extension of that.
The pitch looks good, good carry for the seamers.
There's an appeal for lbw straight away against Joe Root, but it was far too high.
England have made a decent start here but another wicket or two and South Africa are firmly into the all-rounders and finishers and the hosts could fall short.

A real shame that, I thought Phil Salt was looking really good and timing it brilliantly from ball one. I think it was out, it looked good on the big screen.
Salt c Miller b Pretorius 17 (Eng 52-2)
Gone! It's a good fair catch by David Miller.
The replays show that the South African has clearly got his fingers under the ball and it's a good low catch. It doesn't take the third umpire long at all to make that decision.
Phil Salt fails to really take his first opportunity at replacing Ben Stokes.

Salt is actually just coming back and the umpires are in conversation over whether this was taken cleanly.
Phil Salt has been caught at mid-wicket, but the umpires just want to check the catch.
The soft signal is out.
Jonny Bairstow and Salt have gone to talk to the umpires.
Saqib Mahmood

Salt is moving around the crease, looking to play strong shots.
Shot! That is more trademark Phil Salt as he punches past Keshav Maharaj at mid-off for his second boundary of the over.
He tries to go again but cue-ends through to Quinton de Kock behind the stumps.
Four more! Width from Lungi Ngidi and Salt slashes away past De Kock for his third boundary.
England take 14 runs from the final over of the powerplay. This is turning into a very good start.
Jonathan Agnew
BBC cricket correspondent on Test Match Special
Ngidi just slightly straying onto middle and leg or leg stump and with fine leg up, it's not quite a free hit but that shot is on.
Phil Salt is starting to get going.
He picks up two down to third - it is more excellent running.
Before he whips away a leg-side ball, over short fine leg, and away to the boundary. That is one of Salt's trademark shots.
