Roy 15, Malan 1
Jason Roy looks out of sorts. Lungi Ngidi has one rising sharply off the turf which surprises the opener.
Roy does manage to connect with the next delivery but, such is his luck, he finds the fielder in the deep. Roy is on 15 off 15.

Jambarrell: I've nothing against Roy but for me its illogical that Bairstow doesn't open with Buttler. Buttler was moved up to open (taking Bairstow's place) on account of being our best batter. The same logic would now see Bairstow opening again and Roy shunting down the order.
Buttler looked incredibly frustrated as he left the field. Dawid Malan the new man in.

That is a huge wicket for South Africa.
Buttler c Ngidi b Maharaj 14 (Eng 28-1)
Keshav Maharaj strikes.
Jos Buttler, just like he did the ball before, backs away from the crease and this time the top edge balloons up towards Lungi Ngidi at backward point, who takes the catch.
A change of ends for Keshav Maharaj. A diving stop from David Miller at cover saves his side three runs.
Buttler makes some space and unleashes a wild swing. An outside edge sees the ball fly through the slip region for four. Lucky.
Target 192
Ngidi angles into the pads of Jason Roy and there's a half-hearted appeal from the seamer. South Africa wisely opt not to review.
A slower ball deceives Jason Roy who mistimes it straight to mid-off. A length delivery is then pulled into the leg side - again, not out of the middle of the bat.
Jos Buttler flashes at a wide delivery. Play and a miss.
Good opening over from Ngidi.
Here are the two wickets that David Willey picked up in the final over of the South Africa innings...
With scores of 29 and 22, Jos Buttler has done OK but not really got going this series.
Today could be his day though. Lungi Ngidi's first delivery of the match is down the leg side and Buttler easily clips it to the boundary.

You could argue that Keshav Maharaj didn't need to throw that ball but that's David Miller's fault for me. There was no-one backing up and he barely moved from mid-on.
Buzzers! Keshav Maharaj throws to the bowler's end and there is nobody backing up - it was probably captain David Miller's job. The ball races away to the boundary. Sloppy from South Africa.
Anrich Nortje is bowling for the first time this series and my word is he quick. The seamer is in the team because of niggle to Kagiso Rabada.
Jason Roy flicks off his hips for a single. Jos Buttler prods a 93mph delivery into the off side for one more.

When you are going from franchise tournament to franchise tournament to international cricket you can't just smash it all the time, you are going to have lean periods, that's just how professional sport works.
Roy and Buttler find their feet, working the singles. Five of them, in fact.
A quiet opening over. But if and when these two get going, you can expect fireworks.
Target 192
Jason Roy is off the mark straight away with a clip through the leg side.
The players are already back out there. Jason Roy is a man in desperate need of some runs. He is joined by England captain Jos Buttler.
South Arica will begin with the spin of Keshav Maharaj.

Tim Gladwin: It has to be said that, under Buttler and the new coach, the England white-ball team is an absolute shambles. Some of the captaincy decisions are ridiculously bad.
But it was a day to forget for Chris Jordan - who reached an unwanted half-century. He went for 1-52 off his four.
David Willey had a cracking game. Returning to the side, replacing Richard Gleeson, the seamer took 3-25 off four overs.
